Vivid Reoccurring Dreams - Anyone relate? Why does this happen?
I’m new to reddit and was looking for a place to ask about night terrors and this community kept popping up. ⚠️POSSIBLE TW FOR MY DREAMS BECAUSE THEY MENTION DEATH AND OTHER THINGS⚠️I’ve been having nightmares since 2020, they are vivid, I remember them in detail and I feel the pain in the dream. I think 80% of my dreams are nightmares. There’s some where I wake myself up or I wake up from it. A common factor of it is that I wake up on my back when I remember falling asleep on my sides. In my dreams I’m either critically injured or I died/got killed. I’ll put down some of my dreams and dates (I’ve kept a dream log but sometimes I’ve forgotten to write them down) I’ll give some examples of my dreams. I really need answers and help figuring out what’s wrong. As of right now I have 74 dream logs, I apologize in advance if sentences don’t make sense or they are misspelled. I write them right after I wake up, my common themes are: Death/Dying, Teeth falling/pulling out, waking up feeling the pain and breathing differently

I woke up from a dream bc I died. I was in a mansion bc I got a job to defeat a giant cat that is evil that has normal little cats that would follow her orders. Me and another person thought of an idea to trick our client to think we defeated it by making a shadow of the cat and while he ran away we pretend to defeat it, he does run away but the walkie-talkie echos w the other persons. The guy comes back mad bc he heard it and it exposes our lies. I walk away into the hallway and reach the end, I looked at the hallway and seen small cats, I kept turning around and back around then finally seen the big Cat smiling at me. She looked at the smaller cats and meows to order the smaller cats after me, that’s when I run and the mansion has a lot of hallways, but then where I run is a different area. That’s when I hear a woman’s voice echo like a speaker saying ‘The president thought best that we don’t vote’ and the screen shows a blonde girl smiling when she announced that then I accidentally had entered a battlefield bc there were ppl in red shirts shooting each other. I was wearing a black shirt, I heard gunshots and I seen a guy getting shot, the person who shot him noticed me so I got confused and scared so I hid behind a recliner that was there. The one who got shot seeked cover and tried hiding as well at the same recliner then tried to run for it but he got shot in the head. Then the guy put the gun on top of my head, I said wai-..! (wait!) but I couldn’t even say the full thing bc I was got in the head. I felt like I was actually dying, I felt fuzziness in my head, my breathing got swallow/slow. and my consciousness fading away then I woke up feeling the fuzziness in my head for a few seconds.
I don’t recall the date of this dream but I can remember what it was. It was a drowning dream, I was looking up to the water trying to reach the surface with my arm but I had a ball and chain on my leg that was pulling me down. I tried to desperately swim up to submerge but it was useless. I woke up gasping for air and terrified of what I felt

i had a dream where a panther was eating me alive. It scratched my stomach and was eating me like that. My stomach was feeling weird so I woke myself up bc I felt it.
For my teeth dreams it’s either I feel my teeth loose so I keep taking them out or they fall out and they keep on going

I had a dream where I was basically sacrificed in a ritual to become someone else that people wanted to bring back, When I did turn to her she was a cannibal but I snapped out of it and wanted to get help but everyone was terrified of me while I wanted to return to normal. After sending vm of the person who did the ritual on me they refused to come back or get anyone involved. There was a man that worked there since I was in a big classroom in a college he said he would help me and so I waited. Then swat people raided the room I had to go with them, I didn’t say anything I just put my head down while they handcuffed me and took me in. When I went to the facility for deranged/criminals people I sat on the couch in silence, they took my phone which I asked for them to shut it off completely to save the battery. I didn’t move or speak after that, I was devastated but I didn’t cry. Some time after I was going to take a shower and the leader that took me in told me I got a letter from my parents as she read it they gave me a card saying something like she finally snapped or something. It was insensitive to my situation and I was crying, when I woke up I had slight tears and a ache in my chest
It would be great to know if there’s others that have experienced dreams like these. From people I know they never had any type of dreams like these. I dislike them because I can feel the pain being inflicted onto me in my dreams and after I wake up.
