Heated rivalry
Yall keep comparing this to Heated Rivalry but honestly, it doesn’t even compare for me. Off Campus starts off feeling like a boring Netflix original with kinda cringe acting, and if you don’t have patience for that first episode, it might lose you. But somehow, you get completely pulled into it like you’re part of the story yourself. The plot actually develops and before you realize it, you’re fully hooked. I’ve never done such a huge 180 on a show before. It literally had me crying by the end.
What surprised me most was how early they got together, but I actually appreciated that so much because the story wasn’t just centered around “will they or won’t they.” The last two episodes really focused on their growth and character development, and it was done so well.
Heated Rivalry, on the other hand, felt like one conflict being dragged out all the way to the end, and then it wrapped up super rushed. The acting was genuinely amazing and it definitely had me emotionally invested too, but personally, I felt like the story dragged to the point where the sex became the main focus. I just wish there had been more wholesome and cute moments instead of so much emphasis on that.
Still a good show, but personally I liked Off Campus way more.
