Relax vs the Pool

I just rewatched relax with my son last night and it was funny to me to compare it to the Pool episode. In the pool bandit's lack of planning gets him in trouble and Chili's attention to the boring things saves the day.

In relax, Chili, who undoubtedly spent a lot of time planning this vacation, packing for the trip and organizing everything and then she can't get to the beach and enjoy herself. The focus is a lot more on the children's spontaneity versus bandits but he is the one who's able to sort of match their energy and just accept whatever they're doing. I just kind of like how the two episodes highlight different sides of parenting.

Card catalog collectors

I had someone on my local Facebook group ask if any libraries were getting rid of their card catalog so she could get one for free.

Lady that happened approximately 25 years ago. The group seened suprised that real antique catalog shelving is not cheap. (You can get the cheap ones off temu or Amazon).
