Pro tip from a novice - Red Therapy Base with velvet dust seems to work well!
I just stated using press on nails with adhesive stickers. Mostly Doonails short round, Curvlife extra short almond, and tried Doonails extra short square (which i like to smooth to squoval) and a couple other brands extra short squoval.
I noticed that the extra short square don’t stay on well. It may be a sizing issue because smaller looks more natural on my hand but the curve means they don’t sit as flush as is ideal.
All that to say that I am still learning.
My prep has been thorough but I also don’t want to be buffing rough quite so often as it has a cumulative impact on nail health.
So i just tried prepping with Red Therapy Magic Press Base Shield, no buffing, and they’re on - stable! I also used a hair dryer after application of the nails for maybe 30-60 seconds.
