Still tbd if they work for me given they’re so curved, but my god they’re pretty so I’m going to try out all of the tips people sent on my other post. Thank you!

First set!

I've never used press on nails or been much of a nail person despite loving how other people's nails look. After much research here (thanks for the wealth of info!!), I found this set at TJ Maxx. I'm on day 5 and they seem to be going strong. Application was not perfect, but I think I learned a lot and will do better in the future. Thanks all for the inspiration!!

Retail Brand: Nail Reformation

Style: short almond

Color: watermelon seed?

Newbie here

Loving this set! I’m new to the press on life after years of going to the salon. Had an amazing nail tech who was great about keeping my natural nails healthy but I moved and haven’t really had time to go to the salon recently. I had on a set of kiss nails before I did this and had one greenie when I took those off. Just found this Reddit so I didn’t even know that was a thing and that I probably should’ve waited before putting this set on lol. I did wait a day, buff it, put a nail repair serum and cuticle oil on my nails before putting this set on so it won’t be too crazy when I take these off haha. I do prep my nails with rubbing alcohol also so hoping that helps too. Happy to be here! :)

“Retail Brand: [KISS Impress Fx]” color = This City 91408 no

Retail Brand: KISS Impress Fx! These are my go-to nails. They last 2+ weeks. I’ve been using them for a few years. About 1 1/2-2 years ago, they improved the adhesive and it makes a huge difference. Be warned - older sets do not last as long. Buy new!

Stumbled upon this kiosk at the mall 😍

And I am officially obsessed. I love handmade press on nails. Always looking for new brands or artists or whatever. I ended up at Cerritos Mall today. Which isn’t my usual mall. I had a Genius Bar appt. As I’m walking around looking for Apple, as soon as I see it a few stores ahead I come across this kiosk of handmade press ons. Just put my first pair on and I just had to share because I’m already in love. The prices seem to start at $25. They’ve apparently got several kiosks. I wish handmade press ins were more accessible like this, heehee!

The young lady who helped me was so nice. I told her I’m still learning what removal method works best for me and she ended up gifting me their new spray press on remover.

I’d had some Btartbox nails on that I was planning to soak off. But instead, I buffed them and used the spray.

Quickest, easiest and least damaging remover I have tried thus far.

I’m so excited to start this new collection, haha.

Where do you like to get your handmade press ons from?!

First (and probably last) Shein haul

Retail brand: Shein

I’ve never ordered from Shein before, but was persuaded to by the selection and price of the press ons available.

I wanted to upload a comparison of what I ordered versus what I received so anyone else considering buying these sets from Shein can see what they look like in real life. Some were good, some were not so good.

too transparent?

Hi! retail brand: kiss , color: chemistry red.

Do you guys think are they too transparent? Idk, if you watch the nail through the light, you can notice every little thing like dust, water drops… I try to keep my nails really clean but really sterile is impossible to me ;) should I put nail polish on? What do you think? Thanks 🙏:)

Any good glue you recommend for cheap press-ons?

I’m new to doing my own nails at home and picked up a few cheap press-on sets but I haven’t found glue that actually keeps them on.

I’ve tried the tiny tubes that come with kits and they barely last through dinner before lifting.

I’m trying to avoid spending a ton but still want something strong that lasts through showers and daily typing.

Has anyone found an affordable glue that sticks well without making a mess? Would love about your favorite ones to use!

Any tips for Glamnetic?

Retail Brand: Glamnetic Seaspell

They’re so rounded that I struggled to get these on and I’m not confident they will stay long. Also had air bubbles when applying which has never happened for me.

I really disliked the glue it came with too, but perhaps that was just a product of my frustration at the time lol.

I’m sad because I love how these looks and was planning to use another Glamnetic set I already bought soon. Does anyone have advice?

First time trying Nail Reformation!

Had to document this adorable set before I took them off! 😍 First time trying Nail Reformation, and my only critic is that I wish they had more small sizes in the set. My nails are pretty small, so tiny nail sizes are appreciated!

Still figuring out an application method that works for me, so these ones went on a little messy. But overall loved this set!

i think i care more about reusing my sets than making them last forever

i've been getting more into press on nails lately, but i'm realizing that my ideal setup might be different from people who want one set to stay on for two weeks straight.

i tried press on nail glue once and while i loved how secure everything felt, i wasn't a fan of the cleanup afterward.

if i'm constantly trying new designs, dealing with dried glue every time makes the whole process feel less convenient.

so now i'm looking at nail adhesive tabs and wondering if they're the better option for reusable press on nails.

i've seen mixed opinions on how long press on nails last with tabs, but i'd be happy with a few solid days if it meant easier removal and a better chance of wearing the same set again.

for people who have switched from glue on nails to tabs, did you notice a difference in how your natural nails looked afterward?

also, what are your favorite press on nails that don't damage nails and sit flush enough to look natural?

bonus points for any tips on how to apply press on nails with tabs so they don't start lifting right away.

So obsessed with these nails! Simple, subdued elegance. Video doesn’t really do them justice.

How well do these Kiss Impress (peel and press) nails stick/last?

I’m going to try press ons for the first time and thinking I should try an easier set with sticky tabs already attached. For those who have tried them, how well do they stick and how long do they last?

Why Do People Even Go To Nail Salons Anymore?

I love having fun with press-ons when they're as neat as these. Yes, I'm bold. 😂 Retail Brand: Shein.

Trying a new brand+method

Retail Brand: Celebritips in Amber Muse.
I took forever to pick up anything from this brand because they were just too short, but recent life changes have made shorter nails necessary. So I bit the bullet and I’m so glad I did because these are beautiful! They feel so high quality. I also decided to finally try the Nina Pool method and while it’s too early to say how well these will last, they feel VERY secure.

Has anyone had success with the Nina Pool method? I’m really trying to get 2 weeks out of a set and I just haven’t found a glue/technique that works for me consistently.
