How to remove a stripped screw in a hole?

I’m trying to get into the light access for a Christmas village house to replace the lights, and eventually remove the whole bottom to replace the broken music box. The problem is that the screw head is mostly hallowed out, and it’s inside a plastic hole, so I feel like I can’t pull it out with pliers. Will I need power tools to remove it? I’ve tried the rubber band method, it didn’t seem to help. The other screw came out fine, but this one is stuck. I’m trying to avoid power tools if I can help it, as I don’t have any, but if I need them, I’ll try them. Are they or a screw removal kit my best options for this?

Found this beauty at a secondhand store

I have some questions about this, mainly what this one is, so I can find pictures of what it's supposed to look like, and some guides on how to fix it up. A few bulbs need replaced, and one might have a wiring issue, the blue light turns on and off instead of waxing and waning in intensity like the red bulb. There's also some holes in the fountain, like there's something missing, and I want to replace it. Both the woman who sold it to me, and myself after seeing the bottom, believe it’s supposed to make sound, but it’s quiet. So if it’s possible, I want to fix that too, or give it a new sound box

(Also I know its not the cleanest, I'm working on it)
