Need help removing appliances way to big to get out door

Help please. My Girlfriend is about to have a mental breakdown.

So really hoping for some help or any ideas because we have no idea what to do. The doors on our house are too small to remove the appliances(fridge and oven) even with removing the doors and handles.

This is been a nightmare house since we began the process of selling it. Our "friend" lived here and we had to spend 40k on repairs to the house. This is the final thing we need to get done before putting it on the market and moving on from this nightmare.

Thanks in advance for any help.

How would I repair these broken glasses?

My sister got hit in the face with a basketball yesterday, and her limited edition sunglasses broke. Shes been down about it ever since so I offered to fix them. I know it’s possible, I just am not sure what that best way to do it is while keeping them able to bend. I have access to basically any crafting/diy thing you can imagine, so whatever needs doing can be done.

My main idea is to get my friend to 3d print the missing half of the hinge and super glue it on, then just screw the screw back in once it’s cured.

How to fix couch that was damaged after a move?

Hi all,

Recently moved in with my partner and during the move, we had this big 3 seater sofa (that reclines) get damaged. The actual reclining mechanism works, but the issue at hand is that the right side of the couch (i.e., the far right seat with the right arm) leans to the back right whenever pressure is applied to it when someone normally sits. Foolishly, I did not dissassemble the couch when I moved because (a) I am dumb and did not realize it could be dissassembled and (b) I am dumb and thought that moving it as is would be faster lol.

Anways, now whenver I sit on the right seat of this 3 seater sofa, it leans to the far right. I want to fix this because even though this works and can still be used, it is annoying. I believe I pinpointed the issue to this metal bracket which connected the back of the seat to the actual couch itself (see the video). When presure is applied, the top part (i.e,. the back of the right seat) moves almost independently of the metal bracket that connects to the botom of the actual sofa. Compared to the left seat, this independent movement is not at all present (see the video where I apply presure but it overall stays put together).

I'd like to consider myself pretty handy, but I do not really know what the issue is here. I already connected the metal brackets together but the issue is still there (as you can see). What is the actual issue here and what can I do to fix this?

Thanks!

Edit: I figured out the issue (see the comment below for a picture).

I found a snapped bolt that, I think, broke under the pressure, which caused this metal bracket to only pivot when force was applied. I happened to have another bolt with the same pitch (i think thats what its called?), put some locktite, and installed it.

The couch feels good as new now. Surprisingly simple, but I was too scared I'd think id break it haha. But now it feels great

How to get this ink stain out of this tote bag?

It's from a pen. I put it through the wash twice after rubbing the fabric together in that spot with dish soap. It's 100% cotton.

How to clean stains

I don't know the main cause but I wore them for work on the field. There were big machineries and mud. I believe it to be grease from the construction materials. I tried detergent, they only cleaned partially.

Any tips on how to clean it, and please provide two methods:

  1. With what is readily available in most households.

  2. Any product I would have to buy

Though if the product turns out to be quite expensive I would just skip it and use it as a work boot from now onwards as the shoe itself is pretty cheap and not worth spending too much on it.

How to hang this lantern to the wall without drilling?

Moved into a new place and I’m trying to hang this lantern I bought on my wall. I tried alien tape originally, which worked for about 6 hours before falling in the middle of the night. It weights .575 pounds, but that torque along over that distance seems to add up. I’m not allowed to drill and breaking that rule isn’t really worth it for something like this, so help would still be appreciated. Ideally something that wouldn’t mess with the paint

How to remove rusty water that leaked from the clothes iron on pants?

I went to iron my pants and the iron started leaking water through the holes which it often does, but for the first time, orange water leaked out, which I'm guessing is rust.

This has never happened before. Can I even get it out somehow?

The pants are 70% cotton and 30% linen

Anyone know how to get this off?

My mom bought this cup from the store, but the translucent part is dead stuck on there (it’s supposed to come off. She went to the store and saw multiple of this cup, picked one up and the top come off easily, but the one in the picture was a color she liked so she got it without checking to see if the top would come off as well.)

Been trying to twist it off for about 15 minutes now and my arm hurts, it’s not even budging. Any ideas?

She doesn’t want to use tools since it may strip the top but I’m open to anything.

My cat hates me

Hello friends. I come to you bearing sad news that my cat threw up on my one month old jute rug. I panicked and cleaned it with carpet cleaner, which made a huge dark spot. Then I tried dish soap to no avail, and now I have used hydrogen peroxide which has lightened the spot significantly. It’s still pretty rough however. I did not know what i was getting into when I purchased a jute rug but I really love it and the stain is taking years off my life every time I look at it. Any advice?

Any way to fix my shelf?

It's just an IKEA shelf with the little pegs. One night I woke up to the top shelf falling onto the bottom one which made it fall as well.

I had the brilliant idea to use that putty stuff to fix holes on walls.

Is my shelf done for or is there another way I can fix it? All corners are pretty much like this.

Thanks in advance!

How do I fix my shower niche?

The bottom of my shower niche looks pretty bad. Water keeps pooling so no matter how much I cleaned, it kept looking worse. Whoever did the instal did not include an adequate slope for the water to drain. I know I’ll probably need to retile at least the bottom but I have no idea how. Do we just remove the tile and apply new tile? Do I need to do any additional waterproofing? All of the videos I’ve watched have covered installing new shower niches, not repairing existing ones.

Desperately need help getting this sticky residue off my hands and stuff

I’m sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, I’m just so lost and I’m losing my fucking mind...

For context, I spilled a bit of isopropyl on a pair of tweezers I have, despite wiping it off immediately the rubber went all tacky. Now that sticky, tacky feeling Is all over my hands, bedsheets and other belongings.

I have tried EVERYTHING google has suggested.

99% isopropyl - fail

Goo gone - fail

Dish soap - fail

Mineral oil - fail

I have hypersensitivity in my hands, it is incredibly overwhelming for my hands to feel sticky like this. I don't know what to do.

This isn't a visible residue, it’s this absolutely disgusting sticky feeling. The skin from my fingers literally peel away from eachother when I touch them together.

What is causing this?? Why can't I get rid of it??? Am I going to be stuck with this disgusting feeling forever???

PLEASE HELP!!!

Got a Tub Stopper Thing Stuck in Sink Drain

Does anyone have any advice on how to get this out? I was washing the dishes, knocked something over, and the tub stopper(?)/drain plug(?) fell upside down into the sink…There’s a wedge in the middle of it that I tried to use to pull it out, but it won’t budge. I tried using the knife to get it to move a bit, but it’s stuck.

I added a picture of under the sink too in case maybe I can do something with that? :,)

How to cover this up? Creative ideas

Home with vynil siding. This is the garage trim. The seem at the middle of the garage seems to be peeling? I just noticed it. Whats a DIY way to fix or cover this up? Rather not get into replacing whole panels as I dont even know where or how to buy... maybe some kind of decorative seem idea? Something to seal and stop it from peeling? The gutters dont leak so I dont think its water intrusion behind the gutters... this Georgia humidity is just ruthless...
