I’ve tried adjusting and tightening whatever I can but still no luck. Is there something inside I need to tighten? If so, where? I’m going crazy trying to figure this out! Haha

Sorry, newbie here! I got this cast iron from a friend but am unsure if it’s safe to use right away due to the peeling on the side. I read about “seasoning” and stripping but this is my first cast iron and I’m not sure if it’s necessary and if so, what exactly to do.
Any tips? Thanks in advance ☺️
