Last night I met this really cute girl at a dance hosted by a family at another church, it was so fun! (I never dance lol) I danced with this girl a lot and it seemed like we hit it off, and the text sort of explains what happened after. She said she graduated last year, and I graduated in 2019, and have already done 6 years of college.

I’m also a full time youth pastor so I’m kind of self conscious about dating someone that much younger than me.

This morning I just didn’t feel good about it and I’m bummed cause she was really pretty and fun, literally if she was older I would have absolutely no hesitation.

Question for the girls - how would you feel in her shoes with me being older? For some context we’re in the west coast homeschool circuit, so a bit more traditional but not like it is on the east coast or southern states

Update!

It is WILD how 50/50 everyone is on this, but all my married friends and family unanimously agreed that I fumbled. She texted me back saying she didn’t mind the age gap at all, but understood where I was coming from. I called her and we ended up going out tonight, same day as this text haha

We had a ton of fun and are going on a second date! I jumped to some conclusions that made me doubt if it was a good idea, but I’m glad I did.
