Is networking matters?

I been applying for entry level meteorologist positions for years, but no luck. My GPA is strong, and I have a master’s degree in meteorology, but my school isn’t well known. Do you think I have a chance of being hired by NOAA? Or should I focus on networking instead? Thanks for your advice.

I received a job offer for $70k annually, and this job is exactly what I’ve been wanting. I’m excited because I can finally use my degree. My current job is also taking a physical toll on me.

I’ve heard that living in Issaquah can be expensive. My questions are:

Is $70k enough to live on there?

What should I expect for housing costs?

And is it better to have a car or rely on commuting?

Thanks for any insight.
