Having filled the gaps for side B of the chapter’s storyline, it’s now 10k words, longer if we count the fluffy calm before the storm scene I haven’t written yet, and the weird route lock on still hasn‘t happened yet because MC is taking too long to fail her con saves and speeding it up would break the pacing. I either need to restructure Side A and Side B into two chapters, rethink this chapter and my life choices entirely, move the chapter break again, or sigh as I delay That Scene by another chapter. Either way- this is taking way too damn long, as if the unplanned Extra Yuri Chapter wasn’t enough of a delay already. I just want to get to the part where MC finally wholly gets brainwashed by the parasite, but not actually knowing how we get there and thus being forced to pants my way there is causing untold suffering… All because MC’s emotional reaction to what happened and her friend’s refusal to let her suffer alone ruined my plan for MC to just wake up the next day acting weirdly.

(I tried skipping ahead to that part but could not progress through the chapter, so I’m back in the fucking building.)

Anyone else deal with “simple” plot points getting delayed by characters stealing the fucking pen and generally not listening?

So to make a long story short, I got publicly harassed and chased out of a space, and they said some truly vile, disgusting things about me. It’s completely ruined my ability to create anything, as those horrible words keep looping through my head making me feel like a disgusting human being for my creations. Because I… got too excited about horror writing.

Please help me. The bullies already won in one sense, I can’t let them take the only thing that matters in my life.

I use scrivener for my creative writing. But when I try to copypaste my fanfiction directly to Ao3, the formatting gets lost along the way no matter what I do.

I previously found a way to bypass this by copy-pasting to word, where it would keep the formatting (???), and then to ao3, but this no longer works. Same problem trying to copypaste to google docs so I can have a friend beta read something -it just isn't keeping my hard-earned formatting.

Please help. Why won't copy-pasting out of scrivener keep my formatting? Thanks.

Get idea for crackfic and commit to the bit.

realize that it is still extremely short -and that it is the first thing I’ve finished since last fall, and the only other fic I have written for this fandom (which was ALSO crackfic and very short).

now feel discouraged. i have poured so much effort into various wips of varying lengths and none of it (for this fandom) gets finished, even the self contained oneshots, except the two that are low-effort jokes. of course

Is this all I’m good for? being my own joke? what about all the art I draw of serious scenarios I badly want made into fic, some of which I HAVE attempted to make into fic? I almost don’t even want to post this anymore purely because of my inability to complete anything that is actually good.

Do you listen to anime/game soundtracks when reading or writing fic? I sure do! Most song related excerpt games tend to focus on songs with lyrics, but I don’t tend to listen to that, so here’s representation for all the people that prefer soundtracks!
