Finally achieved my grail

I've been checking ebay regularly for one of these Danbury Mint SkyDomes for, no joke, 25 years. They usually go for $400-$550, which is a lot to spend for a chunk of stone resin, so I've always held off.

Recently I found this in an online estate sale that was nearby and didn't offer shipping. I got into a bit of a bidding war at the end, but managed to snag this for $180 (also got a bunch of old media guides for $10 which was a nice bonus). $180 is still a lot to pay for a chunk of stone resin, but it's nice to finally turn my ebay notification off.

The detail is incredible - there are tiny Jays and Argos banners, ads matching the 97-98 era, and accurate (for the time) outdoor areas. I just wish the roof could open and close.

Ultrafit bands comparison

The photos Garmin provides for these are lacking in detail and color clarity, so I thought I'd provide this comparison. First and second photos were taken outdoors under direct sunlight, third photo is indoors under artificial light. As others have noticed, the flame red is fairly orange while the yellow is kind of an electric snot color. The blue-grey pairs perfectly with my solar twilight Instinct 3.

While these are poor value compared to the $5 knockoff bands, it's nice to have some vibrant color options. I'll probably send the yellow back and keep the other two.

Wait for the Cirqa or go for a different band?

I had a Fenix, and later an Epix, before switching to an Apple Watch, and I've kind of regretted it ever since. I liked the Garmin app and metrics far better.

I'm at the point where I want to disconnect a bit, maybe try out a different fitness ecosystem (or return to Garmin), and wear my dumbwatches again.

It seems like a fitness band is right for me - something minimalistic with no screen and good fitness/sleep tracking. It seems like there hasn't been much progress on the Cirqa front, so I'm considering either an Amazfit band or possibly an older Vivoactive (has a screen, but is at least small).

Is anyone else in this boat? If so, what's your plan?

Who would you get on this jersey?

I just picked up this jersey, which the Argos wore for much of the 2010s, and I'm debating what name/number to get on it.

Ricky Ray is the obvious answer, but I'm also considering Prefontaine. Also, my favourite Argo of all time is Doug Flutie, so it's tempting to go in that direction even though it's a significant jersey foul.

What would y'all do?

I inherited a buttload of silver dollars...advice please

Mods, I read the subreddit rules and hope this post complies.

Hi all, I've inherited some coins from my late dad. He never expressed much interest in coins, so it came as a surprise that he'd clearly made a point of collecting Canadian silver dollars for a few decades. I can provide better pics if anyone's interested - right now it's 3 AM and I'm not really equipped to take decent photos at the moment (also, I think these are all pretty well-known).

Here's what's in there:

-About 90 Canadian silver dollars. Oldest is 1937, newest is 1988. Most are from the '50s and 60s

-About 100 Canadian 50-cent pieces, with roughly the same date distribution

-Two fun ones: a 1917 Newfoundland 25 cent piece and an 1840 UK four pence piece

A bunch of the coins are commemorative editions (1939 royal visit, 1964 confederation meetings, and a bunch of provincial editions from the early '70s).

I'll be real here: I loved my dad dearly, but these coins don't hold much sentimental value to me compared to most of the other keepsakes I've inherited, since my dad never talked about them or showed them to me...and even if they did hold more sentimental value, I certainly don't need this many of them.

I realize silver dollars (assuming they're from an era in which real silver was used) have an inherent value based on their raw materials, but do these older 50-cent pieces have much value? Is there anything in this set that's particularly valuable?

To add to this, how would you handle this? Is there any reason to hang onto them long-term, or are raw silver prices pretty stable? If you're looking to unload a bunch of coins, where do you go aside from eBay or FB Marketplace?

I'm not really looking to sell them right now, and at my rate, it'll probably be years before I do anything with them, so I'm not trying to be uncouth here - just looking for general advice from people who know what they're talking about.

Thanks for reading and pardon my total ignorance.
