Bulok mech eng sa ph

Never ako magpapauto sa job market ng mech eng ngayon sa pinas. Board passer tapos 20k suweldo ampota tapos ambagal pa ng progress at babawiin nalang daw sa ot? OT's should be out of the equation pag discussion ay suweldo.

My other friends na wala namang board exams ang first suweldo nila is 30k+, then tayo na ang hirap hirap ng pinagaralan -- even some who spent years finishing their degree -- ang makukuha lang natin 20k?

Anong ginagawa ng organization natin about that? Mahiya naman sila? Im not going to settle for this.

Wfh job for my 62 yr old mom

Hi po, so dahil after may na, umonti na din po yung mga nagpapaaudit and my mom just lost her freelance po cause of it. Right now, she's seeking for a job opportunity kung meron but she's also afraid that she can't compete with the young peeps na din.

I'm askin if you guys know any sideline/wfh jobs she can do since Im helping her find one din. She has 40 yrs of experience na din po in accounting and can do almost anything.

Preferably wfh din since my mom needs this for her meds and to help with my dad's maintenance po.

Starting salary range

I feel like the starting salary range in our field is a big scam. In this economy, it's kinda exploitative to still give 18k-22k salary range especially for a degree which some people took for 4-6+ years at may board exam pa pagkatapos.

This is just disrespectful of our profession, lalo na other programs na wala ngang board exam can get a starting pay of around 25k-40k that easily. Nakakainis lang na they normalize this and say "just do it for the passion" when in reality, passion can only get you so far lalo na kung wala ka nang pera pangtulong sa pamilya mo. The passion part of this profession has been used nang paulit-ulit to the point na gasgas na gasgas na tapos ang bagal din ng salary increase.

This is such an interesting and good profession but if Im going to stay in the Philippines, sadly, I think I'd have to shift careers.

With that being said, any career recommendations?
