Question: if you’ve never met in real life and only communicated online, then one person suddenly stops replying, does that count as ghosting?

I’ve done this quite a number of times myself in the past ( for non establish relationship or connection) and now I’m wondering if this is karma coming back around LMAO

Long story short: this guy and I talked for about 6 months. We met twice in person, were doing long distance, had sex, made plans for our next meetup, and even talked about the future.
Then, right before our planned date, things suddenly went quiet. I sent a text to follow up and never got a reply. At this point, I’m pretty sure I was ghosted.
Part of me thinks he’s just bad at handling difficult conversations or conflict. Another part of me wonders if I was simply played.
So, what do you think? Does this count as ghosting? And have you ever experienced something similar?

I am going to wait for another week or two, and maybe just delete him and move forward.
We don’t chase we attract right.

HoH or Deaf community, what do you do for living ?

I’ll go first.
I work in a corporate company where the hiring team didn’t see my hearing condition as a major barrier to performing my job, and I’m genuinely grateful for that opportunity.

My role does require communication from time to time, but I try to use text messages whenever possible. For online meetings, I rely on live captions. For face-to-face meetings, I bring my smart glasses with me for additional support.

That said, I’ve always wondered what other possibilities are out there beyond corporate jobs. I’m intentionally looking for side hustles or additional sources of income to help navigate the current economy and build more financial security.
I’d love to hear what other hard of hearing or deaf people do for work, whether it’s your main career, freelance work, business, or side hustle.

p/s: i am profoundly deaf in both ear btw.

How are you communicate with your kids with HoH or deaf condition?

I genuinely want to hear different experiences and perspectives on this.

I do hope to have a family in the future, but one thing I often wonder about is how I’ll communicate with my future children throughout their different growing stages. I think I’m also scared that I might not be able to build a really close connection with them emotionally.

Would love to hear from parents or anyone who has felt this way before.
