Didn't know playing Fortnite Festival at 120 fps would change so much.
Before I start this post, I know a lot of people will say:
"But that was pretty obvious, shouldn't the jump from 60 fps already have shown that?"
One thing is knowing something rationally because someone close to you reported the experience, or because you saw some content online — another thing entirely is experiencing it yourself.
I recently bought a PS5, and I thought my monitor didn't support 120Hz mode, but I found out (not long ago) that my monitor was actually locked at 60Hz.
That's why the video wasn't recognizing and enabling 120 fps mode inside the game.
One thing I'm really noticing the difference in is that before, I used to get a kind of "dizziness," or such a big loss of concentration, that it caused a sensation of "blacking out" whenever a lot of notes came onto my screen.
And even when only a few notes came, I had a harder time seeing the note coming down the track.
Which caused me a kind of "anxiety" (I know the ideal is to follow the rhythm of the music, not just the visuals).
Even playing Beyond the Flame, a good song to test both problems I mentioned earlier.
It gave me a positive feeling, a greater smoothness, without the perception that I'm "missing" something right in front of my eyes.
