I replaced the cabinets in this kitchen, but was limited to the L-shape that didn’t match the previous cabinets. (The old corner piece filled this section). I’m not planning on replacing the flooring in the kitchen for another year or two (at least) and am trying to come up with an easy diy solution to filling this void that won’t absolutely make me regret my choices when I eventually replace the floors. I was originally thinking about doing a mosaic type filler, but would need to have something below the tile to match the height. The gap below the cabinet is about 1.25 in.

I had to take out the old cabinets in this kitchen and am getting new ones installed. I’m needing to repair these holes in the ceiling that formed from ripping out the old cabinets, but am not sure what to do or use! The entire place is plaster, mostly over concrete/cinderblocks (1947 build), but I’m unsure about the layers in the ceiling outside of what’s showing. I am also unsure about needing to repair the holes from the previous mounting! Any advice would be much appreciated!!
