This is from the second half of 2025 but I thought it was funny that our GOATs Azakami (Yuuken) and Kobayashi (Deuce) were tied for first place, and Suzuki (Trey) is right there with them. Azakami (Yuuken) is particularly prolific, voicing 47 seme roles and 4 uke roles according to this article.

In comparison Suzuki (Trey) has 22 roles (16 seme, 9 uke) and a different site lists Kobayashi (Deuce) as having 32 roles (13 seme 19 uke), where he partners with other Twst VA such as the voices for Ace, Trey, Crewel, and Yuuken.

I’ve been thinking about getting the CD for 跪いて愛を問う which has both Ace AND Deuce in it. It came out a year after Twst and that is either a bizarre coincidence or they knew exactly what they were doing.

I really loved the anime adaptation of Cater. Everyone is gorgeous, of course, but there is something special about Cater’s design that I can’t quite put my finger on. He looks so good in animation.

I loved the scene of Riddle’s overblot where his clone is sacrificed to save Deuce. I loved the line at the very end where he thanks everyone, which won’t be explained until Book 7. I loved the scene in the cafeteria where Riddle walks up behind the group and everyone looks terrified except Cater who is just like, “and there he is.” I love how he is holding the balance between Riddle and Trey, I love how we see him try and guide them in one direction or another but he always gets overruled, I wish they’d kept the scene where it’s revealed he doesn’t like sweet foods and Trey has always suspected it but never said anything.

The anime was really Trey/Riddle heavy because they were the main characters of the arc and that’s perfectly understandable, but I am so excited for Season 2 where we’ll be able to see even more of Cater being a cutie patootie.

Pre-registration begins for Sparklink Stars, a new mobile game from Disney. Is it a gacha? An Otome? I can’t imagine that they’d split their Twisted Wonderland audience with another joseimuke but maybe they are? Is that Cinderella?
