Sims 2 Tracker v1.0 Now Available

SORRY Y'ALL APP'S CANCELLED BECAUSE u/SuitableDragonfly the coder of another Sims 2 Tracker is an insecure bully trying to stop this from getting popular by telling lies and sowing information they know nothing about! Go yell at them because an opportunity to give something great to this community was taken away due to misinformation, bitterness, jealousy, and spite! Use the app or don't I don't care anymore. Theirs is so obviously better despite reactions to this one.

Here's the repo, investigate for this mysterious malicious code yourselves, bash it, scramble it and sell it for money, piss on it, whatever you want because it's illegal to do fun things anymore!

https://github.com/JACKERS228/Sims2Tracker

Ban me if you want, permanently, even. I don't fucking care. I hate Reddit and some of the people on it. Social media is a curse. Play the sims and live your life rather than make it hard for people who struggle. So what if this makes me a bitch for giving in, at least I'm taking a step to reclaiming my fucking sanity from this Internet slop heap! The numbers mean nothing anymore!

Dag dag!

Mod for making kissing more relationship appropriate?

Hi all,

I was playing the other day and two of my teen Sims seem to kiss when saying goodbye even after only one successful romantic interaction. Is there a mod that ties these animations to relationship status rather than which interaction succeeded?

I am on Legacy.

New Sims 2 Tracker I Made

Hi all, here is a brand new Tracker specifically for the Sims 2 that I made. It is all self contained in one HTML file and has persistence so all of your data is saved in your browser. I made this because I could not find a tracker that suited my needs online. I feel like this tool here has most of the basic functions I would need in a tracker. Let me know what you think and I can update it.

How To Use:

  1. Download the .html file into a folder
  2. Double click it to open it in your default browser.
  3. Have fun!

Get it at my GDrive here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DZ9txR6RRyXdj9kUXdewFQdHjp8dyhHg/view?usp=sharing

Features:

  • Tracker Dashboard - A dashboard displaying Hood Treasury and various Averages and counts!
  • Hood Finances -
    • Manage your hood's treasury
    • Click buttons to simulate construction funding (if you want a realistic way to simulate "paying" to construct lots)
    • Track household taxes based on a custom equation that accounts for children, wages, owned businesses, and granular socioeconomic status (based on what you assign the family, not family funds).
      • This is a custom system for my game only, so you don't have to use it if you don't want to.
  • Lot Management -
    • Assign lot types: Residential, Community, Apartment Complex (with support for mapping to up to 4 households), Greek Houses, and Dormitories
    • Add lot value
    • Set a business owner whose family is factored into tax calculations.
    • Add images via URL
  • Household Management -
    • Household Play Mode - Have this up while playing to easily add event logs, household goals, and view your family tree.
  • Sim Management -
    • Set sim names, genders, life stage, aspiration, life path (a general theme for what you want the sim's life to be), family assignment, career and wage tracking, personality, and markdown bio editing.
    • Diaries tied to each sim so you can track their thoughts and desires with date stamps.
  • Neighborhood Chronicles - Publish formatted newspapers for your hood that report on indicated sims, families, or lots. Use these for random events you may be running (maybe in a future update?) or whatever you wish
  • Add Custom App Background via URL!

How the heck do y'all manage an 8-sim household? (Tips Needed)

Hi all,

I am currently on a family in my rotation that has 8 Sims in the household and I am quickly realizing what a nightmare situation playing with this many sims is. I find myself unable to stay engaged in their stories because I'm stuck managing their motives. There was one time where I put them all to bed and they all woke up at 8 PM because they weren't tired enough.

It's really killed my joy for the game right now. I'm thinking about moving one of the subfamilies (Laura, Chester, and Phoebe; the two crouching and the child in the green shirt) for lore reasons, but I'll have to wait until Phoebe becomes a teen. Any tips to make things more bearable until then?

Fake social media for my hood!

Hi all,

I was playing around with a fake social media generator for my hood and it came out hilarious.

For context, Einar Jonsson is a business owner in my hood. He recently opened a restaurant that plays on his Icelandic heritage. The current mayor and member of the very wealthy and old Stark family, Liam Stark, reached out to congratulate him on starting the business. Well, Leland O'Goode is a member of a large and very old family called the O'Goodes. You can see in the post that he doesn't trust a word that Liam says!

Just wanted to share and show how simulating outside social media chatter has helped with my immersion.

Website I used (I know it looks weird, but I verified that everything is safe with VirusTotal): https://zeoob.com/generate-facebook-status-post/

Okay I Changed My Mind

Listened to Play Your Games on day one. I found it cringy and kind of screamy not in a way that I expected from Josh initially (my original comment for context), but I gave it a second listen today thinking "It was probably because I was stressed from work when I first listened" and am I glad I did. I heard the soul of the band's style when I listened for a second time. I know the camps have already be done to death, but this song was a reminder to me that this band is more alive than ever. Forgive me if that sounds ridiculous, but this song has really reignited my passion for them.

To make this post more original: Is the band's website always sold out of merch? I can't ever find anything of theirs available. My mother bought me a T-shirt from eBay for Christmas last year because there is never anything available.

Reminder about Themed Days + Speedlang Sunday Changes

Hi all,

Just thought I would share a quick reminder about Themed Days!

The Automod posts are just reminders! They aren't supposed to function like a megathread. So be sure that your posting your submissions as a new, separate post in the sub with the appropriate flair and not as a comment! This way, everyone can easily see your hard work and people are more likely to post! This will also make it easier to sort posts down the line.

I really hope to see everyone contribute!

Also, I am adjusting the "deadline" for Speedlang Sunday. We're going to extend Speedlang Sunday to a full week and change the name to Speedlang Sprint. With the Themed Week's Sunday (the original Speedlang Sunday) being the start and the Sunday of the Off Week (no other Themed Days) being the deadline. This will give us something to work on over the Off Week and will get us hyped for the Themed Days starting the Monday after.

Naturally, regular posting is still allowed during the Off Week. Feel free to share Speedlang progress reports using the flair if you wish during the off week!

Modmail with questions/concerns

Best wishes,

LinguistGuy229

Býrngeþær ok Þornbran Örm! In honor of Þornsday, this post is an overview of my language, Bjornifjordalandic's, writing systems.

Bjornifjordalandic uses two primary alphabetic writing systems to write the language: Latin and the Greivangimar (Alphabet, lit. "Writing thing"). The Greivangimar system is largely used ceremonially and on official documentation such as legislation, court papers, and birth/marriage certificates. The Latin script is used everywhere else. Below is a link to a table showing the Latin, Greivangimar, and IPA values for each glyph:

Thank you very much! Have a wonderful Þornsday!

EDIT: Used a custom font so Greivangimar was not visible...link instead

Hi all,

I forgot, you forgot, we all forgot Biweekly Themes this week. So, to counteract that, we have enabled automated posts to mark each of the days and also the beginning and end of Speedlang Sunday (Random features are ready for that!). So, to test this system and kind of revamp the excitement around it. Biweekly themes will happen next week, go to an off week, and then back as normal.

Have fun conlanging!
