Show review/A.S.M. Appreciation
Last night I went to a show at TV Eye in NYC. The bill was stacked but bizarre 3/4 bands were war/bestial/black death and then the headliner was Negative Plane. Crucifixation, who I’ll definitely be checking out more, is VON worship in the best way. Wrathprayer from Chile had a crushing, serious, evil aura that so many bands try to fake but few pull off. The highlight of the night was ASM who just released this excellent promo. Their set was short but sick and violent. No shade to Negative Plane, who’s second record is a classic, but they might as well have had Castle Rat or Drake on the bill, they would have fit just as well 😆. Anyway, the show space smelled like farts, but TV Eye is the next best thing in a New York without St Vitus Bar. Anyone else catching this tour?
