What's the catch?
I recently rediscovered press on nails and I'm so impressed by how their quality has significantly improved. The last time I really wore press ons was maybe 20 years ago and they looked very fake, poorly applied, and would fall off easily.
A friend told me about Curvlife and I ordered some to test out...and so far I am very impressed. I got their semi solid glue they sell separately and the hold is so good. It felt so nice to have some "me" time doing my own nails and having them come out so well for not being done at a salon. So much cheaper too. It's been a week and they are still securely on and don't look that much different than the nails I was paying $60-80 for at nail salons. I wasn't even getting any crazy designs or anything.
Now I've gone down the rabbit hole and have discovered other brands like Glamnetic etc. And now I'm thinking... What's the catch? Why would anyone go to a nail salon if doing your own has gotten so much better at a much more affordable price? Is it for the overall salon experience? More complicated designs that are not yet somehow found in press ons? Every post I see on here the nails look good.
I feel like I have absolutely zero reason to ever go to a nail salon again.
