I've got the blues :)

I've been thinking about a blue gradient skittle for a while, but the light blue I had was too purple.

Popped into Dollar Tree today, and found an Essie just waiting for me :)

Still working on my painting skills, but the color gradient is exactly what I needed today.

- Basecoat Essie Here to Stay

Color gradient:

- Essie: tu-lips touch (thanks Dollar Tree!!)

- Jessica: Cielo Blu

- Sally Hansen: Pacific Blue

- Olive & June: Sapphire Season

- Jessica: Blue Aria

- Topcoat: Olive & June super gloss topcoat

We got red polish at home

I keep trying to do classic red nails, and giving up after an hour or a day.

I think I've just decided that I have to do some sort of accent nail (unless it's a full skittle) to keep my lizard brain interested.

We shall see how long I wear these before I do something else...

The un-skittle / Bingo - group project

Same main color, with a "topper skittle".

Still learning how to get those glitter toppers to apply evenly!

Is there an August bingo card?

Just recently joined this sub, and loving it! I want to join in on the bingo fun. Is there a new bingo card to use for August? Or if not, where can I get a "clean" existing bingo card and see what I can fill in?

We've got purple skittles at home

This week, I did a stress skittle while trying to coordinate time-sensitive admin for closing on our house.

I had a foundational creme or jelly for each finger, then a topper (holo or flake) on each. Some of the color combos turned out a lot differently than I expected, even after checking the combos on my swatch sticks!

I redid 2 of the 5 color combos and it feels more harmonious. I still would've done my order of colors differently, but I resisted the urge to scrap all the fingers and redo them!

I am at least trying to keep these on for another few days!! My ADHD brain is kinda spiraling outta control right now and wants to redo my manis as soon as I finish them 🤪

Why don't I like these?

I've been excited to do this mani since I got my colors in.

And I kinda hate it. Colors are much more neon in person.

Is there a fix?

Budget-friendly long lasting polish?

Hi all,

Recently got into painting my natural nails.

I used to have polish chip within the first day, so it wasn't worth it. But I bought an Olive & June long-lasting polish + top coat from the drugstore on a whim, and got great results.

Now I'm totally into manis!

I've done some research and now do base coat, color, and top coat, and care for cuticles. So I understand a lot of prep is what helps keep a lasting manicure, but I do have nails prone to chipping with just plain/regular polish.

Please share your go-to affordable brands that you find stay on your nails. I'm assuming the gel-like polishes (without requiring lamps to cure) are what work well for me, since that's the case with O&J LL formula.

Hi all,

I just very suddenly got into painting my own nails, and I'm having a blast.

I absolutely love looking at skittles manis, and even after quite a few google searches, I still need some good inspo pics to help me figure out how to select colors and how to arrange them.

Would love it if you could share pics!

Adding a couple of my recent manis for tax (still working on getting a steady hand!)
