Officially diagnosed. Metformin gives me too many side effects

Yesterday I was officially diagnosed with Pcos. My testosterone is a bit high and I have some insulin resistance along with random weight gain of about 30 pounds over the past two years. I have been TTC for six months now and my gynecologist basically said I can either keep trying or take birth control and spirnolocatone for a few months and then try again after my PCOS is more managed. I took Metformin for a couple of weeks and saw improvements in regard to my weight and cravings but it gave me terrible fatigue and insane body aches which just isn’t sustainable. I feel very frustrated because birth control is not the route I want to take. I currently take inositol, coq10, and pre Natals. I only drink one cup of coffee a day, and have cut down on alcohol. I also walk a lot. Does anyone have tips for trying to concieve or how they managed their PCOS without metformin? I’m feeling so discouraged and sad.

Memantine for OCD

I am on day 2 of taking memantine. I feel okay, a bit more focused and my obsessive health anxiety thoughts aren’t as bad. I am very sleepy though. Does anyone have experience with this med? I also notice that my heart seems to be beating faster but I know that can be a side effect of adjusting to something new. The only thing that really scares me is that the half life is so long. My psychiatrist thinks this will really help me. I have dehabilitating health anxiety and have been on 20 mg of Lexapro for a year along with klonopin as needed.

Metformin. Muscle aches and fatigue

Hi guys. I am on 500mg of metformin. I am supplementing with vitamin b12 and magnesium but I’ve noticed I get cramping in my legs and I’m pretty fatigued. I asked my doctor about it and I’m going in to the office in a few days to get my electrolytes, b12 , and magnesium checked. Has anyone experienced this? I’m really scared of lactic acidosis.

Muscle cramps / pain on metformin

I am taking 500mg of metformin at night after a meal. I’ve noticed that I’ve had pretty uncomfortable pain in my legs. I’ve tried to drink more water and have been supplementing with vitamin B12, iron, and my pre natals. I am a bit scared of lactic acidosis. I don’t think I have it but I do get very dizzy sometimes and fatigued on this stuff. I am about 15 pounds overweight and was prescribed this to help with my moderate insulin resistance. Does anyone have similar experiences?

Another negative. I have been TTC for six months now. I see on here that most people test positive around this time. I can’t stop crying. All I’ve ever wanted to be in life is a mom. I can’t help but feel jealous for others when I know I should feel happy.
