Hello. Having multiple issues with new build. One being a room that's very hot in summer. Cold in winter. Had all my attic insulation removed. Having HVAC duct work redone.

The soffetts are clear, open and baffeled. Excuse spelling...

Insulation and HVAC people suggested having a roofer check the ridge vents. Well...they were never cut open.....

How hard or easy is it to miss cutting the ridge vent (s)???

Thanks for help or insight....

Had my HVAC system assessed by a 3rd party inspector, along with HVAC inspection.

Report states equipment mismatch, "by 1 ton negatively affecting entire system and lifespan".

What's the reasoning for the mismatch? New build construction. All houses here are the same, except for HVAC system owners, who live 2 doors down. They put an entirely different system in their house, heat pump etc.

When I googled, it says this goes against industry standards??? That the equipment isn't compatible. Was this the cheapest way for builder to go?

Thanks for you insights.
