New player here! I have min-maxed FFTactics several times but never touched Tactics Ogre Reborn. What is the best build for Melee attacker? Are there any glass cannon builds? Could you share them with me? Is the Exploit for infinite money with (?) Flutes still a thing?

I have read here stats are dependant on what you level up as, but not super relevant as equipment is way more important. Still, I wanted to get the fastest/highest damage per turn possible character I could get.

Thanks in advance. I love this community. I feel so sad I never experienced the game before.

Edit: I have seen people recommending me to level up MP as that's the hardest stat to raise... Should I do that in the start of the game? I rather be something like a Ninja in FFT that attacks fast and often and doesn't care about magic but I don't know how important that is for this game.

I found a compilation on where and when Pizza Hut is mentioned in S1. As someone that saw CG in english, I barely noticed it but I honestly feel like watching the original just to see how unnatural the mentioning of Pizza Hut actually is. Is it worth it doing that in a rewatch?

I loved this game sooo much, I think the game manages to be pretty easy, while being comfortable to play in short and long bursts of time... And the last boss shows you can actually make other bosses later that don't rely on being "Damage Sponges" because... wow. I don't even know how I beat that.

I am a blind casual player that didn't bother to watch anything, except a dude on youtube playing the game and I thought "I'll buy that, looks fun" and didn't even let him finish the tutorial because I didn't want to spoil myself.

So I was playing in a very casual way... What does the pink skull does? Whatever. What are those eyes that open every time I play a card? Well... nothing happened so I guess overkill counters or something??? Maybe life bars that are being depleted or something? DUNNO.

I didn't even bother to learn what was the dela with adding extra crawlers to the rooster because... Well, the first one was doing more than fine. And so I was literally experimenting with a single extra crawler (already had bought 3 spaces but I didn't understand any synergies) and I thought "Nah, I don't need more".

Randomly, on the last dungeon, I see a crawler has "revive+1" and I was like... Revives? I see the option to revive against death but... that asshole always kills me on 1 hit before I can get anything going!

Still, on my first try, blind, I decided to try him there and see if I could stack "revives" or whatever how it worked and RANDOMLY I got a deck with TONS AND TONS of Wild cards!

BUT I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD NEED THEM BECAUSE I HAD AN INFINITE COMBO OF CARDS THAT DEALT INFINITE DAMAGE WHILE GIVING ME AROUND 120 OR SO ARMOR IF I NEEDED IT.

So I got 3, and I get bored and think "Huh, I can stack revives" and with merely 3 revives I start skipping enemies (I haven't done that the whole game at all until now) and I was already level 50 or so and thought I was definitely overleveded so I ignored 100% of ignorable enemies and BUM, I find that last boss.

Honestly. That probably made the fight better because I string a gigantic x50 combo or so thinking to just overkill him and... shit, he kills me back?! My combo is finished, my mana depleted, my hand thrown away...

And I START FROM 0 with 2 revives thinking! Wow, eventful!

Then... like 2-3 turns later... he kills me and I notice the damage he deals increases with every card I play! I didn't have that many evolved cards, and with no way of knowing how many HP he has... the fight gets interesting because I can't just infinite combo my cards. I need to think what to play, and how to play it.

So here I am, 16 hours into the game, not understanding what the eyes around the boss meant until now, not understanding what pink skulls mean until i see the damage increasing, not getting how much hp he has...

Long story short. Me, with 0 revives left, no armor, 1 hit from dying to his last attack thinking I was stupid... for understimating the last boss... I see my 5 mana bird and the symbol from "he dies if this hits" and I have never pressed a card so fast in my life.

This was probably the best 10 dollars I have spent this year.

10 out of 10. I will keep playing it more.
