Very Confused about Our Tickets

When I originally booked our train between Lille and Ghent, I picked those times. And I’m pretty sure I picked the ones that we don’t need to transfer anywhere. However, when I checked with a nice lady at the information center at the station, she said we had to change our train? (I’m sorry, I don’t speak French, so maybe I just misheard her or I couldn’t make myself understood enough for her) And in this email confirmation, it says our tickets are flexible? Does this mean the times we originally picked don’t mean anything?

Train from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport?

I’m arriving at Paris Charles de Gaulle in the morning of August 16th. I have a hotel in Lille (that’s where I’ll be staying), and I was hoping to get to Lille by train. When I was looking at some websites, I didn’t see many train options (already fully booked? Not many morning ones?). Do I need to book my train ticket in advance or will it be okay if I buy at the station once I land in Paris?
