2019 Toyota Camry Transmission
Hello, everyone!
My 2019 Toyota Camry has 95k miles on it and I’ve continuously read up on the 8-speed transmission issues that this generation of Camry is known for. From what I read from others in this forum as well as online forums; it seems as if a whining sound or delayed acceleration is a tell tale sign of transmission failure. My car has the typical delayed throttle response as most Camry’s have for fuel efficiency and gear hunting woes but there is a whining noise that comes about when I’m gently accelerating at low RPMs (1-3k). It sounds like a supercharger like whining noise and I’m concerned if this is a sign of premature transmission failure. I know I’m probably paranoid but what do you guys think?
