Sinus pain and lots more symptoms developing 2 weeks following upper tooth extractions
So my husband had 2 upper molars extracted July 29
He was healing ok initially, but August 13 he developed a lot of symptoms:
-Constant migraines/headaches
-Dull constant ache mixed with shooting pain/throbbing in sinus area and by extraction
-Constant dripping and bad taste in mouth which triggers severe nausea
-Achey and weak body
-Exhaustion
He’s been taking ibuprofen around the clock but doesnt seem to be working
Since Aug 13 and he’s felt unable to work full shifts since/called in a couple days, as he has a very labor intensive job and he feels like he’s going to vomit while heavy lifting
He says his pain issues are sinus related
We assumed he had an infection, he went back to the oral surgeon yesterday, and she looked in his mouth and said it’s healing fine, he’s prob “stressed”, so she sent him home
I was going to get back ahold of them to see if there are any other options, such as trying:
-Antibiotics
-Prescribe stronger pain meds
-Can he get a drs note for work
-does he need to see his regular dr to look at any sinus problems
Any thoughts?
