University of Tokyo Medical Science Graduate Program — English or Japanese?

Hii im from india

I found the University of Tokyo Medical Science Graduate Program and I’m interested in fields like Pathology, Immunology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology through the MEXT scholarship route.

I wanted to ask whether this program is English-based for international students or if Japanese proficiency is required for admission, classes, or lab work.

If anyone has experience with this program or knows international students studying there, I’d really appreciate the insight.

Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine (Master/PhD) — English program confusion, need clarity

Hi everyone, i'm undergraduate studet from india

I’m trying to understand the Master’s / PhD options at Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine (especially Medicine / Medical Sciences track), but I’m getting really confused from the official website.

Some pages show:

“Program in English (Master/PhD)”

Some places show Japanese-only programs with EJU requirements

Some sections mention “* ask supervisor” for English PhD

And some pages don’t clearly state language of instruction at all

So my confusion is:

Is there a proper structured English-taught Master’s program in Medicine, or is it mostly Japanese?

For PhD in Medicine, is admission fully supervisor-based (lab-dependent) even if it says “English program”?

Does “Program in English” mean full coursework in English, or just research/lab communication in English?

How common is it for international students to join Medicine PhD without JLPT?

I’m an MLT student planning postgraduation, so I just need clarity on how the system actually works (not just what the website labels say).
