Fish I'd and doubts

Hello guys Good day Help me ID this flowerhorn I'm told he is a kampha and just wanted to be sure as there are so many variations He would be named either Puff(like from the children song Puff the Magic Dragon) or Flounder (from litte mermaid) if he gets like a yellowish tint which I think is little near the mouth Any other nice name suggestions would be helpful Note I would be upgrading to a top filter then a canister later down the line but as he's like 2 inch I did not want to add that to stress him out with the extra flow

He's currently on Okiko platinum Life aayu flowerhorn food And hikari bio gold

Okiko and hikari are my staple as of now and life aayu I kept as like a rotation so he doesn't get bored Any other tips or suggestion on the food is also welcome

Thanks in advance NR

How Do You Prep a Brand-New Tank for a Flowerhorn?

Hey guys, Quick question out of curiosity when you get a new tank specifically for a Flowerhorn, do you disinfect the tank before setup? I’ve seen some people use potassium permanganate first and then hydrogen peroxide to neutralize it afterwards, while others say a simple rinse is enough. Do you guys follow any disinfection process for a brand-new tank, or is it unnecessary?

Thanks & Regards, NR

Starting a new journey and thought I’d document everything from day one This is going to be a full build thread of my Flowerhorn setup from bare basics to a complete, stable tank, along with regular fish growth updates.

Step 1: Tank Stand Ready Just got the table/stand in place (pic attached).

What’s coming next: Step 2: Tank build (48X22X24 inch) Step 3: Filtration setup (budget-friendly) Step 4: Cycling process Step 5: Introducing my Flowerhorn (starting small as a fry)

I’ll keep updating this thread regularly so anyone planning a Flowerhorn setup can follow along or share suggestions. Feel free to drop advice, improvements, or things I should watch out for Let’s build something amazing 💪🔥
