I seriously don’t understand why there wasn’t better traffic management today.

I have no issue with people celebrating a football win, but blocking major roads and public transport is just ridiculous. My tram was completely stuck in Rotterdam because crowds were taking over the streets. We barely moved for what felt like forever.

People are just trying to get home, meet friends, make plans, or simply move around the city. Public transport shouldn’t come to a standstill because of a celebration.

Celebrate all you want, but why should everyone else have to deal with this level of disruption?

I’m a Highly Skilled Migrant in the Netherlands and changed employers recently.

My new employer submitted the residence permit application almost 2 months ago, and I’m still waiting for the process to be completed.

I understand IND officially has up to 90 days for these applications, but I’m curious about recent real-life timelines.

For those who changed employers recently:

How long did IND take to make a decision?

I’ve already been waiting for almost 2 months, so I’m trying to understand whether this is still within the normal range or if I should follow up with IND.

ich werde im September 2026 zur IAA in Hannover sein und suche Hotels in der Nähe vom Hanover Exhibition and Trade Center (Messegelände Hannover) für den Zeitraum vom 12. bis 21. September.

Wir benötigen eine größere Gruppenbuchung und haben bereits einige Hotels angefragt, aber die Verfügbarkeit scheint während der Messe sehr begrenzt zu sein.

Hat jemand Empfehlungen für gute Hotels in der Nähe des Messegeländes oder Erfahrungen mit Gruppenbuchungen während der IAA?
