Last Day !!

Last full day in Maui! We’re staying in Wailea and have a rental car. With the storm that just passed and some areas still recovering, we’re not sure what’s safe/worth doing today.
If you had one day left, where would you go and what would you do? Open to anything! 🌺

5 Nights in Hawaii - Maui or Oahu?

Hi everyone!

I’m planning a 6 night trip to Hawaii in August for my girlfriend’s birthday and we’re trying to decide between Maui and Oahu.

My girlfriend lived on Oahu for a couple of years, so she’s already familiar with the island, but we’ve never experienced Maui together. We’re looking for a mix of beautiful beaches, shopping, exploring, great food, and relaxing at a nice resort. We enjoy getting out and doing things during the day, but we also want time to slow down and enjoy the hotel and beach.

For those who’ve been to both:
Would you choose Maui or Oahu for a special birthday trip?

Does Maui have enough to do for 6 nights, or does it feel too quiet?

Since she already knows Oahu, would you pick Maui for a new experience or still go back to Oahu?

Would love to hear your opinions and experiences. Thanks!

Birthday Trip - Hotel Recs

My boyfriend and I are visiting Maui for my 23rd birthday, and it’ll be both of our first time visiting the island. We’re going Aug. 14–19 and were originally planning to stay at the Andaz Maui (Ocean View King), but I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews. A lot of people say it’s not worth what you’re spending.

I just want a nice, modern hotel with a really good ocean view. We’re planning to do a mix of relaxing at the resort and exploring the island, so we won’t be in the room all day. I also looked at Grand Wailea, but the rooms seem a little outdated to me.

If you’ve stayed at the Andaz, do you think it’s worth it? Or is there another hotel in Wailea you’d recommend instead?
Also, what are some must-do activities, restaurants, beaches, or hidden gems for a first trip to Maui? We’d love any recommendations!
