I came here to get advice but ….
Seeing so many people here just as lost as I am is a weird feeling. I don’t know whether to be relieved that I'm not alone in this, or completely crushed thinking that maybe there is no way out

looking for some advice or success stories from anyone who has dealt with severe, persistent foot and body odor and managed to actually beat it. It’s getting to the point where it’s impacting my social life and confidence badly, and I really need some help.
Here is my situation:
• The Sweat: I have hyperhidrosis and I actively use an iontophoresis machine, which has helped reduce the actual sweat production.
• The Footwear: Because of the odor, I don't even wear enclosed shoes anymore. I am currently only wearing flip-flops with socks to give my feet maximum airflow.
• The Problem: Despite the constant airflow and lower sweat levels, my feet and certain body areas still smell incredibly strong (a heavy bacterial/fungal odor).
• My Hygiene: I shower and thoroughly wash twice a day, but the smell persists no matter what. It feels like the odor is trapped or built up deeply in the skin.
• What I've Tried:
• I tried using foot creams and drying powders, but they actually made the smell worse and made it smell very bad.
• I have also tried using rubbing alcohol to sanitize and dry out the area, but the persistent odor is still there.
I suspect I might be dealing with a deep bacterial overgrowth, a fungal issue, or something like Pitted Keratolysis (a biofilm infection that creates a strong sulfur/sour odor that regular soap, powders, and airflow alone can't touch).
Has anyone here successfully cleared an odor this stubborn?
• What specific clinical-strength washes, antibacterial routines, or prescription creams finally worked for you?
• What type of sock material (like merino wool or copper-infused) made a difference for you while airing your feet out?
• Did you have to get a specific prescription from a podiatrist or dermatologist to knock it out?
Any feedback, routine breakdowns, or product recommendations would mean the world to me. Thank you
