How to deal with most haters (my own expierences)

How to deal with most haters (my own expierences)

As someone who’s been in the fandom since the pilot released (yeah, I was definitely too young to be watching it), I’ve dealt with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss haters for years. And honestly, I think these are the best ways to handle them.

(And no, I’m not talking about people criticizing the shows in good faith. Everything should be open to criticism, even if you love it.)

Don’t give them the reaction they want.

A lot of the people hating on the shows, especially on Instagram, are just rage baiters. They know insulting something popular gets attention, arguments, and engagement.

Writing a giant rant usually just gives them exactly what they wanted.

Honestly, the best thing you can do is either ignore them completely or reply with something unserious, like a funny gif from the show. Just avoid the whole “who asked?” type of response because that usually turns into 20 people piling on with “I asked.”

Cheating = Always bad

1 - obvious Stella sympathizer so we're off to an already great start. No, cheating isn't *always* wrong (even if you have a kid)

2 - Being coerced is not the same as being forced, blitzø 100% had the choice of saying no to the offer or to even negotiate another deal, he accepted because he wanted to continue his business (also yes, the fact that blitzø laid the deal does matter)

3 - Acting as if a 17 year old cannot even hear a reference to sex is not only ignorant but also dangerous for sexual repression in teenagers.

4 - If I remember the only "sexual" remark he made about her I believe is in episode 2 when Stolas is calling Blitzø to be their body guard in loo loo land (unless I missed something in another episode) and he says "we are rich, and we are hot" which is like... Come on...

5 - Again in episode 2 I believe, I suppose they mean when Stolas tells Blitzø, and I quote "you look so cute when you are serious", "you know, it's quite thrilling to see you on the job Blitzy" if this is sexual harassment then I might as well be in prison for flirting with my heterosexual friends as a joke (in fact Blitzø references sex in this episode more than Stolas, so wouldn't that make Blitzø a worse person according to them?)

6 - Yes he does neglect his daughter but it's not necessarily because of an evil motive, it's just a mix between a feeling of depression, hopelessness and loneliness, and while this doesn't justify what he does it still doesn't mean he's a heartless evil father who's selfish.

7 - If I remember correctly the only pet names he uses are "Blitzy" and "my little imp" which I have no idea if these are offensive or not but from what I know they aren't really offensive?

8 - literally don't know what they're referencing here but ok...

Alastor lived in New Orleans during the early 20th century, a time shaped by Jim Crow laws and heavy racial discrimination. Back then, people used a lot of derogatory language to dehumanize Black individuals, including words like “buck,” which were meant to portray them as animalistic.

If you look at it from that angle, it adds a darker layer to how Alastor died and why he is the way he is. The idea is that he was killed in a way that mirrored that same stereotype, like an animal. That could explain why his death makes him so angry, it wasn’t just dying, it was being reduced to something less than human.

In the Hellaverse, sinners usually manifest traits that connect to something they hated or were defined by in life. In Alastor’s case, his deer-like appearance could be tied to that slur, being called a “buck.” It’s not just a random design choice, it could be symbolic, forcing him to embody something he resented.

This might also explain why you almost never see two sinners that look the same. If each form is based on personal experiences, trauma, or identity, then everyone ends up looking different, unless they shared the same kind of death or had a strong connection in life.
