I Think We Need To Give Up On The Idea Of Alastor As The Main Villain

I Think We Need To Give Up On The Idea Of Alastor As The Main Villain

Many people have looked at interviews of Vivziepop or people talking with Amir describing supposedly how Alastor will be the main villain of season 3.

However, I want people to understand that all Vivziepop said was that Alastor would >!”take a more villanous role”!< that season. This does not mean automatically Alastor will be like how Vox was in season 2.

This could look like many sort of ways. It could be like how we was threatened in season one or maybe it will simply be that Alastor does more things for himself.

I would be happy to see a very powerful very villainous Alastor for a season but I don’t think they would do anything like that until the last season or something.

If I am wrong about this at least people got something what they wanted but I don’t want people to think of this large head-canon and be dissatisfied in season 3. Be sure to spread the word so the same thing does not happen like in the pilot.

Side note Amir hinted at how he might have done a song where it was a bit emotionally complex to sing. I am excited to hear everyone’s theories and takes.

Incompatible Frequencies Part 18 (Elsa-Fogen on Tumblr)

Oh boy.....I can already see the comments about this part

Alastor goes back to Vox (that's about all I can say because I don't know what to say about this)

I'm sorry y'all, it's midnight and I'm can't be assed to write some fancy description at this point in time, maybe I'll update this tomorrow if I can think of anything interesting to write but right now, I can't and I just wanna scroll YouTube shorts until I fall asleep

(Gonna be harder because I've run out of my medication I take for my insomnia but I'll try)

But yeah........Enjoy or hate it, I don't give a shit right now (sorry, that probably sounds mean but I promise it's not meant to be, I'm just really tired right now and stuff)

Headcanon: Alastor was completely terrified of dying and going to Hell before making his deal.

While Alastor appeared to be practicing some form of Voodoo or Black magic while making a deal, I get the feeling though that he was some raised with a combination of Voodoo and Christian beliefs; and was either an atheist or cafeteria-christian as an adult, likely only going to church with his mother.

However, while living in the high life in New Orleans, something scared Alastor, or made him realize that his life is finite and that he will not live forever (this would've likely been triggered by the death of a loved one,Mimzy or his mother, or even staring long enough at the lifeless corpse of one of his victims). This causes him to panic:

"This person died today..."

"I could die some day..."

"I AM going to die someday...!"

"...And if Hell exists, that's where I'm going!!!!"

Keep in mind, at this point Alastor has no idea what Hell is like, let alone that it even exists, he more than likely imagined Hell as a fire and brimstone raining realm where he'd be wailing in agony in a lake of fire. Also Alastor does seem to live a very hedonistic life while in New Orleans, even outside of his murders.

So with this knowledge, Alastor has two options: Repent and turn from his vicarious life-style, and potentially go back to living in lesser conditions(I get the feeling Alastor wasn't fond his way of life before New Orleans), OR accept that he is going to Hell, but he can try to secure a spot amongst the highest ranking demons by making a deal with one. I think we all know which one he picked.

Edit: fixed some of the initial grammar

HC: Alastor’s relationship/contract with Rosie

More of a Rosie HC but stick with me…Rosie is, to me, at least partially based on Barbra Streisand as Dolly in Hello Dolly! (See episode title where Rosie is introduced, “Hello Rosie”). Dolly is a strong-willed widowed matchmaker, whereas Rosie is a deal-maker.

Rosie feels totally Gilded Age coded. But it’s interesting that she doesn’t fulfill her end of the bargain with Alastor-he complains that he is far too weak for his liking.

Alastor is powerful, but far from the most powerful sinner in Hell, despite Rosie’s promises. Still, Alastor is driven by an innate ego and a desire to be the best, which I think is why Rosie sent him away in the first place. He got too big for his britches and probably tried something that failed spectacularly. Or maybe he tested the limits of her power. Tried too hard to get out of his chains and broke something in Rosie. Perhaps that’s why she sends him to hotel; Rosie views it as a simple job that doesn’t require him to be powerful enough that it would mess with her position. She doesn’t fix his staff after his battle with Adam because she herself is afraid of him.

I think Alastor, being Rosie’s pet, learns to move in her Gilded Age world. Surviving in this world carefully depends on words and looks and alliances. To me, New Orleans human Alastor always seems so brash, so sure of his own position, and Rosie teaches him to learn and observe her (and by extension, his) opponents.

What we see in S2 is a lot of careful and plotted “wound licking” from Alastor. He comments in the Finale that “altruistic Alastor died for his friends”. He’s much more political in his manoeuvres and pits people against each other with a better success rate, something he picked up from Rosie, perhaps.

He’s also careful with his wordplay-he gets out of his capture by Vox based on a technicality, and similarly with Rosie through his deal with Charlie. See also: “quid pro quo, it’s only fair”. He’s an Overlord but he’s watched how the other overlords work. I think Alastor is a powerful observer and by the end of S2 bided his time enough to learn how to break out his deals.

Help finding a radiostatic fic

I was looking for it today and I couldn’t remember the name of it. Multichapter fic, it wasn’t finished. Part of the premise was that Alastor and Vox both had something like an A/V port in their heads and if they were connected, they sort of experienced the other person’s feelings as their own? Like, Alastor convinced Vox to eat sinner meat. In the most recent chapter I remember, Alastor showed Vox what it felt like when Vox tried any kind of sexual touching and Vox was like, “wait THAT’S been your problem? wtf then we can just not have sex, sheesh.”

Does anyone remember it or have a link?

"I'm Not Even Moving My Mouth, My Dear!" (Art by @zsofi.anda)

Alastor and I had a bit of a telepathic (or "radiopathic") conversation and he reminded me his face was made for radio!

I feel like everyone hates Alastor now

I really don’t know if Alastor is popular anymore…I thought he was the most popular character in the show and was a massive fan favorite and being so well written, but I feel like I’ve seen more slander for him everywhere now. Like him being a fraud for one. Being a fumbled character and Vivziepop ruining him and was only popular in the pilot and everything. Him being poorly written, Vox is what he should’ve been, him or any other Vivziepop character having no potential in the future and she can’t write for shit. He’s a Vivziepop character, what do you expect? is another. He’s corny and all that. Why can’t people love and appreciate my GOAT anymore?…

Incompatible Frequencies Part 17 (Elsa-Fogen on Tumblr)

Alastor goes to return to Vox and Rosie begs him to stay with her

This part kinda hit harder to me, specifically with the line "maybe I'll learn to enjoy it after all like normal people" because as an Aroace, I have been there and spent so long believing I was weird for not even having a crush yet

When I was younger, I started to realize this myself that I did not feel romantic attraction to anyone even at an age where I should and that led to me faking having a crush on someone (actually confessed and got rejected) to seem normal

Even as a kid, I felt that it was normal to have a crush on people and that I wasn't normal because I still don't even know what love feels like, that line just kinda reminded me of those experiences and how long it took me to realize I was Aroace

(I learned what Aroace was from Jaiden Animations and did more research into it)

Anyway, Rosie's desperation is really sad because I can understand the feeling of someone close to you suffering and you not being able to help and it is not a good feeling

This is getting to me more and more and I hope Alastor gets out of this deal soon because this is getting harder to read every time

But yeah.......Part 17 of Incompatible Frequencies is here

(Yes, this is me reposting it because the images weren't showing up for anyone on the last post and I'm hoping it'll work this time around)
