Since Episode 759: Worm Party, Cofi showed Chee a bunch of worms in the rain having a "dance party", which grossed Chee out. But then in Episode 800: Mushroom House (which is 41 episodes later), Chee started to realize how cute the worms are. Even she began imagining herself and Cofi as adorable little worms living in a mushroom house together. Thanks to Cofi, Chee has grown quite fond of earthworms. ^w^
Episode 759 - Then
Episode 800 - Now
"The Heckling Hare" directed by Fred "Tex" Avery premiered on July 5, 1941. The last part of this classic Merrie Melodies short was a riot! This has to be one of the longest falls the characters ever experienced in cartoon history. Luckily, they were able to pull the brakes midair before landing completely unscathed.
The original ending for "The Heckling Hare" was never made, because it was considered too dark for viewers.
Happy 85th Anniversary, "The Heckling Hare"!
Here is a GIF that I made to celebrate the 4th of July as well as the 250th birthday of the glorious USA. Hope ya'll enjoy this!
And I want to take this opportunity to say...
>!DOG BLESS AMERICA!!!!<
Even though "Old Glory" directed by Chuck Jones premiered on July 1, 1939, this classic Merrie Melodies cartoon has some very patriotic vibes. I even liked the ending of this short where Porky (who was very young back then) did the Pledge of Allegiance.
While most other Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons are classified as comedy, "Old Glory" is actually considered educational and informative.
And so I say to everyone here, I wish ya'll a Happy Independence Day!! And Happy 250th Birthday, America!!
