Comparing Cartoon Network’s schedule in 2012 vs today’s schedule.

I just watched this video of this guy comparing Cartoon Network schedule from 2012 vs today in 2026, and he’s correct about the comparison. There was a time when Cartoon Network aired anime in the mornings and it hyped the kids up. Also, Adult Swim started at 9pm in 2012, instead of 5pm today. Cartoon Network from 2012 was a very different world compared to Cartoon Network today.

Cartoon Network has been airing anime way less over the years to the point where I don't think they've even had any anime air for years now. This is probably due to licensing costs and expirations but would you want them to focus on airing more Japanese animation projects in the future?

Undo the Paramount-Warner Merger

Rumor has it that a judge approved the Paramount-Warner merger, which sparked outrage in America. Most fans can see the future of this merger like Cartoon Network characters crossing over with Nickelodeon characters which should never officially happen. Others believe that it might cause job losses for those who work in either studio. According to actor Mark Ruffalo, the merger will “stifle creativity, weaken free speech, and cost people their jobs.” The Paramount-Warner merger is something none of us pop culture addicts asked for.

Movie studios are meant to be separate in order to get popular franchises in the right direction. We need to tell Paramount and Warner Brothers to undo their merger so we can watch our content just the way how we like them. That way, we can enjoy our entertainment peacefully.

Now that the Community's non-official Cartoon Network originals tierlist is complete, here's my full ranking

The community's ranking of every Cartoon Network original finished yesterday, and as such I've decided to rank them all based off my votes (going by release order).

Some shows may be at different tiers for different seasons, so I rounded them up to put them at 1 of the 5 tiers.

I also added the 4 Cartoon Network Studios shows that weren't part of the list (as they didn' air on Cartoon Network proper).

Was at Costco and saw the Halloween decorations are already on sale. It instantly put me in the Halloween spirit, and the first thing I did was go on YouTube and look up Scary Godmother: Halloween Spooktakular
