How well do you guys think Rhythm Heaven Groove will sell?

Rhythm Tengoku sold pretty horribly with only 268,517 copies but it's to be expected. A completely new, niche franchise released exclusively in Japan almost 2 years after the DS wasn't going to do too great.

Rhythm Heaven DS actually sold pretty well with 3.04 million copies sold. From our knowledge this currently makes it the best-selling game in the series to this day. It did have a petter set up for sales though. It released worldwide, was in a decent section of the handheld's lifespan, possibly had an already established Japanese fanbase to look forward to the game, and apparently they were able to get Beyonce for a commercial which is just crazy!

Rhythm Heaven Fever wasn't able to be quite as successful as DS sales wise. It did still outperform Tengoku with 843,530 copies sold which while not horrible could be better. It did release very close to the end of the console's lifespan (same year as the Wii U in everywhere besides Japan).

Rhythm Heaven Megamix sold decently with 1.03 million copies. Uh, I don't know what else to say other than the fact that North America never got physical release. Kinda late into the console's lifespan but not too much.

So is Rhythm Heaven Groove set up for success. It is the only game to be released on the exact same (numerical) day worldwide. The Nintendo Switch is also the most successful console it is being released on yet. The Switch 2 has been out for over a year now but it is backwards compatible so it doesn't really matter. What do you think?

I just noticed that every single minigame in Groove has a sequel.

I think it’s the only game in the series to do this. Pretty cool.

After a treacherous journey I have finally gotten all Superbs/Amazings in Fever, Megamix, and Groove.

At least for the single-player minigames. As much as I'd love to be a sweat and perfect every single game in the series, even I have my limits. So I can appreciate small accomplishments like this.

This is a pretty weird thing for Gwen to say to a friend even if we are supposedly meant to see her words through "general" terms.

The "Masters of Disasters" challenge was weirdly rigged towards the Killer Grips.

Basically both parts of the challenge work together in their favor. Owen's injury somehow becomes an automatic win for the first part of the challenge despite all of the Screaming Gaffers completing the original objective. Then the advantage they get for the second part of the challenge is just the code to the lock of the obvious exit in the bottom center. Even if they had "won" the advantage it would make more sense if Chris gave them a hint or something so they could have the opportunity to... well you know, try? Instead the challenge would've basically been over before it even started. They still lose because they're the Killer Grips but the point still stands.

Side Note: When Leshawna refuses to get in the "tin can" Chris convinces her by saying "Not even for a million bucks?" even though this is a reward challenge and nobody would be going home no matter who loses.

I wanted to do a quick-look at the prevalence of unique custom visuals in remixes in Rhythm Heaven games.

Rhythm Tengoku has 4 remixes with absolutely zero visual changes to the original minigames: 1, 2, 4, and 6. Remix 3 does have unique visuals for every minigame besides Wizard Waltz. Remix 5 is the only remix in the game where all minigames present have unique visual changes from their original game. Remix 7 doesn't even have unique audio (It's a combination of 1, 3, and 4s' audio which when added together makes 7) but Marcher 2 and Tap Trial are given unique visuals. Everything else looks the exact same as their original. As for Remix 8, Karate Man and Rhythm Tweezers do have unique visuals at certain sections. Everything else is reused from the original minigames or Remix 7.

As for Rhythm Heaven DS, all remixes besides 10 (the final one) have unique visuals which is a step up. In Remix 1, Fillbots is the only minigame that looks exactly like the original. Every minigame in Remixes 2 - 6 have unique visuals. In Remix 7 every minigame besides DJ School and Big Rock Finish has unique visuals. In Remix 8 Dog Ninja is the only minigame with unique visuals. Remix 9 is a bit weird. Moai Do-Woop (Remix 2), Crop Stomp, Karate Man 2, and Built to Scale 2 do not have unique visuals. But Glee Club, Space Soccer, Shoot-Em'-Up, and Splashdown do have custom art.

As for Rhythm Heaven Fever and Megamix. All the remixes besides the final ones (which includes Left-Hand and Right-Hand) have unique visuals for every minigame.

I haven't played Groove yet so I can't tell you about that game. I might update this post I might not.

Anybody else here surprised that the My Telepathy! song wasn't dubbed?

It really caught me off guard. You would think if they were going to do a vocal track they would re-sing the lyrics but I guess not. Nintendo's localization priorities have really changed over the years huh?

Why does Total Drama World Tour have 3 teams?

First of all too many contestants wouldn't be a problem. Total Drama World Tour has a total of 18 contestants. Blaineley/Mildred didn't show up until after the merge so that's 17. Duncan also wasn't added until halfway through the season so that's a starting cast of 16 contestants. Even if we do count Blaineley and Duncan that is still 4 less than Island's 22. If Island was able to somewhat manage two 11 person teams then I'm sure World Tour can have starting teams of 8.

But even if the writers don't NEED to do it could still be fun managing a 3 team season where all the contestants are simultaneously in a tighter but more tame situation than before.

Then they just make Team Victory lose every elimination challenge... So like what was the point. Why not fully commit and bring all 3 teams to at least merge. But instead they weren't even allowed to make it halfway and it's just like WHY!? It's not like the specific dynamics and relationships of Team Victory were so important to the narrative and character development that they needed to personally exclude them. Leshawna still being a love interest for Harold is like the only relationship in the team I can remember.

So what I'm trying to get at here is that they could've really had a perfect set up of two teams of 8. Set up the big major conflicts and stakes in the first half before the infamous love triangle and stuff happens. I'm kinda stretching here but maybe it could give a better reason narratively for an earlier merge to take place.

If not that then GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH WITH THE 3 TEAMS IDEA! Don't just relegate 1 to fodder. Don't put of the seasons plot relevant characters on the same team. Don't put all the comedy relief on the same team (ok that wasn't too bad of an idea but still). But just bring them all the way to the merge if you are going to have 3 teams.

P.S: I know I come off as really furious in this post but I'm really not all that upset, the most I feel is very slight disappointment. I just wanted to spice up my tone to make the post more appealing. This is still my 3rd favorite season of the entire show✌️.

Low-key I would really love custom difficulty to return in Persona 6

It was such an ingenious design choice in Persona 4 Golden and I can't believe they didn't bring this back for Persona 5. I think Persona 6 could still heavily benefit from the player choice of difficulty found in Persona 4 Golden.

Edit: Preferably make it unlockable from the beginning rather than a new game+ exlcusive.

Ok there is something in this episode that I have always wondered here.

Why does Courtney say that the Killer Bass are 1 player short when they currently have 7 contestants while the Screaming Gophers have 6?

u/Lively_Man — 12 days ago

How Harold would've been in moving in Total Drama Island if he could pull off any of his last second feats past episode 5.

Loosing a challenge cannot be this sad.

By the way I can't seem to flair my post for some reason. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Guys Hey Pikmin is boring as fuck. For the people who actually beat it what was your motivation?

How in the world did Little Mac get so cartoonishly strong?

I've always wondered.

Ok so like actually where I we finding all this leaked reboot footage that has been blowing up all over the subreddit?

I don't know if this breaks rule 1 so I'll just mark as it as spoiler to stay safe.

I think the XY music is peak.

That's it. I know this post is kinda low-effort but I wanted an excuse to be not nice to the series and point out its stronger aspects as I feel that I have been a bit too overly negative to it lately.

So yeah the music in the XY anime sounds nice to the ears. *Mainly the original Japanese version
