Question: Texture Packs Vs Rendering
Hi, I usually play all games with the "x3 native 1080p" setting, but now ive found some HD Texture Packs for a game im playing (DBZ BT3).
My question is, if i install the HD texture pack, should i change the rendering settings of the emulator back to the x1 "Native Default" or can i keep the x3 1080p setting that i use for all games?
Because i dont know if they add to one another if they are both on, like x3 of emulator + x3 of hd pack making it x6 or something and breaking the game, or my pc first...
Thanks
anybody know how to fix this weird looking thing going on
Currently playing FF7 Dirge of Cerberus. Not sure if there's something that can be done but during cutscenes and stuff the game sometimes has like this blurry/ripple effect in the backgrounds or on the characters themselves. Here you can see it on the background characters, though this also happens even when characters are up close too. Anti-blur is indeed on.
Mk shaolin monks is very gpu demanding, and lowering resolution doesnt help

Can't select directory [Linux]
I recently switched over to linux (pop!_os 24.04) and have been trying to set up my emulators as I had them on my old machine (windows 11). I've done the whole process before, but on selecting the directory my subfolders under /home/usr/ don't appear in the PCSX2 UI. I set up my dolphin exactly the same way and had no trouble with that UI, so I'm tempted to think it's something about how PCSX2 is accessing my files. I had the same issue with the bios, but was able to manually put that into the bios folder. PCSX2 was installed via flatpak, if that affects anything, and I did the classic uninstall reinstall a couple times to make sure it wasn't my install. I'm at a loss here, would appreciate any thoughts :,)

How do I properly map PS2-like pressure sensitivity for Metal Gear Solid 2/3 on Steam deck/Emudeck
I have tried mapping the "Modify Pressure" key bind under settings/controller setting etc. It currently says "Keyboard S" which is the default. Mapping a button on the steam deck to S doesn't actually do annoying though.
I've seen people say remap shoot to triggers but I don't wanna do that. That changes the way it plays too much. Also isn't looking around corners pressure sensitive too?
Thank you all
Any recommendations?
I joined the emulation scene last month and been having great fun replaying some old nostalgic games. What other games do you guys recommend to add to my library? I play almost anything so fire away any ideas. Thank you!
My current library:
Getting slowdown on secret agent clank
I'm trying to find any thread or video that explains how to fix it. I only found this video and even following the settings under the description. I still have slowdown, and a bit of input lag. As for my specs, I have an AMD Radeon 6750 and a Ryzen 5 5600.
Play PS1 games on a PS2 emulator
Good day everyone, I was wondering if a PS2 emulator would run PS1 games.
Is it possible to force widescreen without stretching?
I don't like the widescreen patches because they stretch the U.I and the special edition games rarely get patches. I don't need games to be in widescreen, just curious
How do I use the aspect ratio setting?
There are many options and I think games back then ran in 4:3 but there is still an option for 16:9 and 10:7 also games like GTA and Tekken have an internal wide screen option as well.
So do I have to change it every time I boot a compatible game with a wide screen option?
Analog Pressure Modifier
So I'm playing Yakuza 1 with mouse and keyboard (bad idea, I know) and I'm stuck on the funeral part where you have to sneak by walking. So, I've been looking for instructions on how to change analog pressure with a keybind.
For example, when I press W normally my character runs forward with full speed, but if I press W + alt (or any other button) the game only receives 50% analog output, so my character walks instead. I'm going insane looking for a tutorial about this, does anyone have an idea? Please, anything would be appreciated.
Game recommendations part 2
Looking for some more game recommendations
So far I've played/tried out the ratchet and clank, sly cooper, jak and daxter, destroy all humans, king kong game, bully, God hand, simpsons hit and run, some lego games and ben 10 protector of earth.
I'm looking into some pac man games, gta, and a couple of others. Anything from my previous post not mentioned I either tried or didn't care for
My previous post:
Wild ARMs 3 Keeps Crashing
Any idea what could be causing it? It crashed once when I tried to start a new game, and usually crashes in the character select screen. I made into into Clive's prologue once but crashed before I made it out of the first room.
Emulator is v2.6.3 downloaded directly from their site.
