I Just started playing GTA VC on the pcsx2 emulador. Never played the game before. Everytime i turn the camera with the right analog It goes in 1st person mode. Is it normal?like If I need to turn the camera to the right, I push the right analog and it Goes in 1st person, I stop pushing It and it goes back to normal.

I looked after It and no one Said a anything about It. Sorry If its a Dumb question.

im new to emulating i just want to play ps2 games

This was a game I briefly played on the PS2 but never finished.

The gameplay and overall aesthetic were largely awesome. Hollow Bastion and the End of the World were fun challenges, and I enjoyed the loop of building up magic through attacks, casting spells, and rinse and repeat. The core gameplay was great enough that I’m down to try out KH2 sometime this year.

However. the level design was often quite bad, especially in early levels. Maybe I’m just a baby gamer, but some levels involved a looooot of backtracking and were extremely unintuitive regarding what you were supposed to do. Honestly, it felt like a tactic just to make the game go on longer.

Also, holy fuck, the number of boss fights at the end was horrible. Like, they were largely fun, but there were too many of them, and it was starting to drive me crazy with thinking I was done, only to find out their was yet ANOTHER fight.

Despite those issues, it was still a good time. I’d recommend the game but with some major caveats that the level design and ending are very very frustrating.

Did others who played this feel similarly? what’s everyone else playing? now that I’m done with KH1, I’m bouncing between Aoe Escape 3 and Mega Man Legends.

Here are my specs for the laptop. ASUS ROG Strix G531G 2019 laptop, Intel core I7-9750H, and it has a NVIDIA GEforce GTX 1650, with 8gb ram. Is this good for PS2 emulation?

Haven't been able to find any posts experiencing this but here is what has been going on.

I installed PCSX2 about 6 months ago and every game ran at 100% at 1080p. With each passing month every game I ran before would lag more and more each time I launched it.

This is mostly noticable in NFS HP2 a game I played the most.

In the meantime I have migrate my games to a HDD ( apparently this is not supposed to affect performance ) and have 'upgraded to nightly version expecting this to fix the slowdowns ( it did not ).

Is there a cache that I need to delete, are the save states that I have for various game perhaps an issue. What could cause this?

Running any game in software mode eliminates any slowdowns.

Is there any way to just use dualshock 3? Just so that it would have it funcionality? It seems every game i wanna play has some sort of pressure sensitive controls

The game runs fine as the Native PS2 resolution, but its so blurry.
When I change resolution to 2x (1080p). my fps goes from 60 -> 25fps and game runs slowly
My specs are
Laptop
Intel i5-11400H
RTX 3050 4GB VRAM Mobile GPU
16GB Ram

Edit: SOLVED:

1. set Rendering to Direct3D11 to detect discrete gpu

I got another issue where my speed was 67% and fps was solid 40
goto nvidia control panel > Program settings > choose pcsx2 > Whisper Mode -> 60

I am using the latest Nightly. In the past, X was confirm O was cancel, now it is the Japanese style. How can I fix this?
