Opinion: Adam and Lute were mutually toxic and enabled each other's worst behavior, not just Adam abusing Lute.

I love GuitarSpear, but I don't think the relationship is as one-sidedly toxic as some people make it out to be. Even if Adam was Lute's superior, I don't think the dynamic is nearly as one-sided as people claim.

We see Adam encouraging Lute's worst tendencies. He praises her sadism, even if he seems a little uncomfortable when she goes too far. He enjoys and supports her whenever she spews hatred toward the people he hates. He treats her as his companion, someone he spends time with without disrespecting her, and he gives her enough authority to discipline the Exorcists alongside him.

On top of that, Adam is the one who taught Lute that she could get away with openly expressing hatred toward demons.

Lute enables Adam as well. Whenever Adam starts being misogynistic, she never calls him out and instead lets him keep going. We know she could stop him, because she told him not to reveal the secret in public, and he listened rather than shutting her down. That suggests he trusted her enough to rein him in when necessary. She also supports Adam when he's treating Charlie horribly during their meeting. And, on top of that, she loves him, which undoubtedly influences the fact that she likes him the way he is.

I'm not saying this can't change in future seasons, or that we won't learn more about what their relationship was really like. But based on what we've seen so far, I don't think their dynamic is nearly as unbalanced as some people suggest.

Val’s eyesight is … better than mine?!?

We all know “Val’s eyes are so shit” and “it took him like 20 min too count 3 bills” or whatever it is angel says too husker
But here (this is the fight between Alastor and the vees before he becomes their prisoner) and it shows for a split second Val’s pov inside the heart shaped glasses and if we look at the outer border it’s how he sees things without his glasses and honesty it’s not as bad as I thought it would be as my eyes are actually so shit I can’t even see my phone in front of my face with out glasses or holding it pretty damn close too my face but Val’s eyes actually seem like that aren’t that bad from what I can tell from this
Is there any other of my blind ass he’ll brothers or sisters who also have worst eyesight than Val and can confirm his eyesight isnt actually that bad because I really don’t think it’s that bad tbh

Vox tries to take over Heaven

It'd be so funny if Sera just went like "sure, we surrender". What was the plan next? Go up to Heaven presumably through a portal the angels open, and then have no leverage whatsoever? The angelic cannon was the only threat. Vox is up there with the other Vees and they just get smited. No one has the power to activate the angelic cannon. Like what did they think they would do?

Did Vivziepop know that?

As a German, I noticed it immediately. And that's why I wondered if Vivzie knew about it when she named our favorite TV Head VOX. That it's also the name of a TV Channel in Germany.

Lust represents a craving for what is forbidden. So NO, Val isn't better rep for the sin the Ozzie because of... THAT.

Val related, so warning for everything that comes with THAT (You know what I mean by "that".), also don't complain about me censoring rap3 like this. This post kept getting filtered by Reddit and I'm throwing up my hands with this one.

In the Bible, lust refers to any uncontrolled sexual appetite or the intentional objectification of someone else.

But, biblical law explicitly compares the violent forcing of a woman to the crime of murder. With lustful acts related to sex, like seeing a hottie and getting a little chub, Jesus taught that anyone who looks at someone with "lustful intent" has already committed adultery in their heart. It's bad, but not "violent crime" bad. It can also be forgiven.

Rap3 however is violent crime bad. In the Bible, rape is generally categorized as an act of wrath, violence, and oppression rather than purely one of lust. While lust involves an illicit or inordinate sexual desire, the Bible views rape fundamentally as an abuse of power, a violation of human dignity, and a violent attack against an individual. Sound familiar?

These are the key words here. Violence, assault, abuse of power, Val doesn't just rap3 Angel because he's horny. He does it because he wants power over Angel, he wants Angel to know he owns him. Biblical scholars emphasize that rape is an abuse of power and a total disregard for another person's dignity, which falls under the category of hatred and violence, which is wrath.

Most of Vals impulses come back to anger anyway. Yes, he is definitely lustful but I dont think even that's nearly as fundamental to his character then his anger management problems are. If Val wants to come for any Sins crown it's Satans, and uhhhh... yeah good luck with that one buddy.

Semi-hot take about Vivziepop..you can critique her writing issues without borderline calling her a terrible writer/being a Asshole about it.

Yes,she's not perfect.

Spoiler alert,no writer or author or story creator is,almost everyone has flaws when writing media.

What's important is you keep working hard to improve in spite of your flaws and Viv is genuinely trying with her crew to improve and become better and despite her mistakes and flaws ,she's not full on terrible or a Ass writer as people say.

I also hate the whole "oh she's so unprofessional/rude to her fans and haters" ,like..let's be real,so many of you deserve it and should be grateful she's actually holding back a lot of restraint.

I think too many people want the show to go way too easy on sera when it comes to her redemption.

I think when it comes to talk of her redemption a lot of the fandom seems to display favouritism by having a very low expectation of what they think it should actually entail given from what I've seen ever since season 1 even before the character's arc officially started

Many many people seem to want the character's atonement be simply giving better orders that's it from what people say they don't seem to want the character to undergo any drastic changes to her life or current relationships or job title or see her have any major atoning actins or consequences or anything of the such,

And I think that's an issue because people want this very relaxed redemption for sera where she's objectively being shown favour compared to pretty much every other being in the universe simply because she happened to be born higher up in the heaven hierarchy

So people have no issue with her redeeming herself for genocide with very little effort or change or hard work on her part while others who may have not done anything that caused anywhere near as much harm and may have also even had their own reasons beyond just doing evil for evil's sake

Yet are required to undergo drastic change to their lives and put in work hell sir pentious had to literally commit the ultimate self sacrifice to redeem himself for simply not reporting a crime

Yet a character who knowingly gave the orders to kill 1.000s of people simply has to utter some words to redeem herself because of where she happened to be born and what position she was born into?

This is why I say I honestly feel like this fandom has a classism issue when it comes to sera but its an issue the fandom doesn't view as a negative thing simply because she's likable but if she had the exact same actions

But instead had the obnoxious personality of someone like mimzy or chaz then I feel like a lot of the fandom wouldn't be as okay with the character getting this type of treatment compared to other characters in universe when it comes to redemption,

So I very much hope vivziepop goes in a direction opposite to what most fans seem to want for this character and actually shows redemption as being something that shouldn't differ this drastically when it comes to class

And someone like sera should not have lower expectations of them than we have for someone like sir pentious or angel dust or even fellow angel vaggi who is a very good example of genuine redemption

Given the changes to her life she underwent and the meaningful actions and actual work she puts in to do good in present day and on a daily basis so we and the characters in universe should have the same sort of expectation for sera regardless of what role she happened to be born into in the heaven hierarchy.
