GPlan postpaid concern
Need advice because I’m honestly confused about my situation.
I applied for a Globe GPlan Plus 999 back in December and paid ₱999. I only used the line during December and stopped using it completely after that — no data, calls, or texts from January until now.
I recently found out I’ve been continuously billed every month and now I have around ₱4k+ unpaid balance. I also received a message saying my account might be endorsed to collections/credit bureau if unresolved.
What confused me is that when I checked my account details before, it indicated “Contract Duration: None,” so my understanding was that there wasn’t any required duration/commitment tied to it. I didn’t realize it would continue charging monthly unless I actively cancelled it.
I’ve also been trying to reach out since February through calls and even through the 211 bot but never really got a clear resolution.
Just wanted to ask:
- Is GPlan Plus really recurring even if it says no contract duration?
- Has anyone experienced getting charges adjusted/waived in a similar case?
- Should I dispute this first before paying, or just settle it already?
- Will this actually affect my credit standing?
Would appreciate any advice from people who’ve gone through something similar.
