I am so incredibly tired of Globe’s absolute laziness when it comes to adopting basic, industry-standard network features.
Apple literally introduced RCS support with iOS 18 back in 2024. It has been nearly two years since the framework was handed to carriers on a silver platter. Carriers, regional neighbors rolled it out months ago. Meanwhile, Globe is out here acting like they’re still trying to figure out how to transition from analog to digital.
Just last week, Apple announced they are already beta-testing end-to-end encrypted RCS for cross-platform chats. Google has been pushing it for ages. The rest of the world is literally moving on to secure, encrypted, rich cross-platform texting, and Globe users on iOS can't even get a basic typing indicator.
If you go to Settings > General > About and tap your Carrier profile, IMS Status just sits there mocking you: "Voice & SMS". No RCS. The toggle in the Messages app doesn't even exist because Globe hasn't bothered to deploy the proper carrier bundle to Apple.
Why does this matter?
◾️We are still forced to use green-bubble SMS that compresses a 4K video into a pixelated, 5-second long PowerPoint presentation.
▪️Group chats between iOS and Android are completely broken. If one person doesn't have an iPhone, the whole thread reverts to 1999 MMS standards.
◾️No read receipts, no typing indicators, no Wi-Fi texting fallback when cellular signal drops inside buildings.
And don't give me the "wHo cArEs, jUsT uSe mEsSeNgEr oR wHaTsApP" excuse. This is about network infrastructure that we pay for. Globe loves to plaster "5G" and "Innovation" all over their marketing, but they can't even flip the switch on a GSMA Universal Profile profile that Android users have had for years and iOS has natively supported for two update cycles.
It’s embarrassing. SMART isn't doing any better, but Globe's absolute silence on when (or if) an updated carrier bundle is dropping is infuriating. Stop spending money on corporate branding and update your carrier settings so we can text across platforms like it’s actually the current decade.

Need advice because I’m honestly confused about my situation.
I applied for a Globe GPlan Plus 999 back in December and paid ₱999. I only used the line during December and stopped using it completely after that — no data, calls, or texts from January until now.
I recently found out I’ve been continuously billed every month and now I have around ₱4k+ unpaid balance. I also received a message saying my account might be endorsed to collections/credit bureau if unresolved.
What confused me is that when I checked my account details before, it indicated “Contract Duration: None,” so my understanding was that there wasn’t any required duration/commitment tied to it. I didn’t realize it would continue charging monthly unless I actively cancelled it.
I’ve also been trying to reach out since February through calls and even through the 211 bot but never really got a clear resolution.
Just wanted to ask:
- Is GPlan Plus really recurring even if it says no contract duration?
- Has anyone experienced getting charges adjusted/waived in a similar case?
- Should I dispute this first before paying, or just settle it already?
- Will this actually affect my credit standing?
Would appreciate any advice from people who’ve gone through something similar.
Could really use your help here! So I terminated my postpaid plan for a prepaid. After all was settled on my end I figured there was an overpayment so I filed for a refund. All requirements were submitted and confirmed by the Globe agent via messenger and email. Weeks passed and there was no update so I decided to follow up but was surprised that there's no open case under my account. I mean WTF????? Now I am desperately trying to contact all channels to contact them but to no avail. They kept ignoring and wala rin na saktong category for my issue to begin with. How can I get hold of this f*cking people. HELP PLs!
Need advice po. Way back 2021 pa huling gamit namin sa Globe WiFi, right after bagyong Odette. During that time, halos ilang buwan na hindi maayos ang internet connection namin. Every week kami tumatawag sa customer service para ipaayos yung connection. Ang nakakainis, kahit hindi maayos yung WiFi namin, tuloy pa rin ang dating ng monthly bills. Eventually, dinisconnect ko na lang yung router namin. Hindi na ako tumawag sa customer service para ipa-disconnect officially kasi sobrang frustrating na.
Fast forward to this year, naka-receive ako ng email from Globe saying na may outstanding balance pa ako at inendorse na raw nila sa third-party collection team for payment. Ayaw ko naman bayaran kasi hindi ko na rin naman nagamit yung WiFi nila.
Question: okay lang ba na i-disregard ko na lang yung email? Ayaw ko talaga bayaran.
Nakakainis na grabe sila mag follow-up sa payment pero napakapangit ng service nila.

I recently upgraded my Globe Prepaid number into Postpaid Plan and received payment confirmation via email a few hours later.
I wonder when will it reflect the "Postpaid" status in my GlobeOne account?

Hello! I would like to ask anong itsura ng parcel niyo nung dineliver yung plan with device niyo. I applied May 6 and regularly check "Track My Order". Wala akong nareceive na text or email regarding waybill.
Then kanina may dumating na J&T and mukhang skeptical din sabi ni rider na medyo magaan yung box at pricey. Tinanong niya if may ineexpect akong parcel and meron nga, I checked the "Track My Order" and bigla nakalagay for delivery na (May 6).
Pero ganito po ba talaga yung parcel? COD and di ko alam baka scam kaya hindi ko muna nireceive and waiting sa confirmation coming sa hindi helpful na customer support nila via their official messenger account.
Yung sender kasi hindi Globe, normal name lang and walang identifier na Globe siya or anything.

Yung plan ko comes with free unlimited 5G. Now, lagi namang 5G yung nakalabas sa phone ko but I still use the consumable gbs/month. Paano ba to parang di ko naman nagagamit the supposed free 5G? How does this work ba?
