What’s the easiest way to recharge a Globe number from the US? 🇺🇸🇵🇭

For anyone in the US with family or friends using Globe in the Philippines, what’s your usual way of sending them load?

Do you:

  1. Send Globe load directly?

  2. Send a data package?

  3. Send money and let them recharge?

  4. Use an international top-up service?

I’ve found that sending the load directly can be handy when someone only needs a bit of credit or data.

Talk Home App is one option for Globe top-ups, alongside other international recharge services.

What do you normally use for Globe, and has it been reliable for you?

What’s one thing that helped you feel less far away from home after moving abroad?

This is for all students happened to me so wanted to know your thoughts.

Moving abroad for university is exciting, but I didn’t realise how much I would miss the small everyday moments from home.

At first, I thought the hardest part would be adjusting to a new country, new routines, and university life.

But honestly, some of the hardest moments are the quiet ones, missing family conversations, familiar voices, and feeling connected to the people you left behind.

For me, staying in touch regularly has made a big difference.

Even a short conversation or sharing small updates from your day can make a new place feel a little less unfamiliar.

I’m curious about other international students:

What helped you feel more connected after moving abroad?

Would love to hear what worked for you.

How do Afghans living abroad stay connected with family back home? 🇦🇫

Moving away from Afghanistan can be a big change.

The distance, time zones, and everyday responsibilities can make staying connected with family more challenging than you expect.

But at the same time, those small moments, a quick call with your parents, checking in with siblings, or sharing updates from your day become even more meaningful.

Personally, I’ve found that staying connected takes a bit more effort when you’re living abroad.

A message here and there is easy, but having proper conversations and making time for family is what really keeps that connection strong.

I’ve also noticed that staying connected goes beyond just calling. Sometimes it’s helping family back home stay reachable too, making sure they have enough mobile credit or data to contact you whenever they need.

Would love to hear how other Afghan expats manage keeping that connection with home.

😎 Lewis Hamilton: “I'm really grateful to get the pole, I was quick but it was only ten milliseconds or something like that so really grateful.”

“Look, we are ahead of Mercedes, those guys and Red Bull have so much power here. But my team keep on pushing, it won't always be like this, but this is an amazing surprise. I am ecstatic!”

❓: Have you built a car specifically suited to Hamilton?

🎙️ Vasseur: "Not at all. We don’t build F1 cars tailored to one driver or another. At most, the cars evolve following the drivers’ feedback."

"Their input is important, but we’re talking about marginal differences."

Which mobile network should I choose in the UK?

I’m looking for a new UK SIM-only mobile plan and wanted to ask for real user opinions after doing some initial research.

So far, I’ve looked at the big networks like EE, O2, Vodafone and Three, but they often seem more expensive unless you really need their extras, priority perks, or direct customer support.

I’ve also looked at cheaper MVNOs such as giffgaff, SMARTY, VOXI, Lebara, Lyca, iD Mobile and Talk Home Mobile.

From what I understand, these smaller networks usually run on one of the big UK networks anyway, so the main difference seems to be price, data allowance, roaming rules, contract length and customer service.

The things I care about most are:

  • Good monthly price
  • Decent data allowance
  • 5G included if possible

The ones I’m more interested in are the lower-cost SIM-only networks, especially if they offer good data, EU roaming, 5G and flexible monthly terms.

👀 Lewis Hamilton on the LEGO car parade

❤️‍🩹 Lewis Hamilton remembers Roscoe at Silverstone:

"I still have him as my wallpaper on my other phone."

"He used to sleep and wake me up in the middle of the night to go and do his business at Valtteri's door."

"He was a part of Silverstone."

Does anyone remembers Nico's P3 Quali lap from Silverstone 70th Aniversery?

Mega Job from Nico Hulkenberg

Hamilton was asked about Verstappen’s radio message claiming one of his moves deserved a penalty:

>“He went off the outside. You don't expect to go around the outside of a champion. I wouldn't expect to go around the outside of him there and hold a line.”

>“He was behind at the apex, and therefore he should have backed out, but he didn't.”

> “It was great. It was a good run. Good fun.”

One of the highlights for me from the Austrian GP. What do you think will we see more fighting between the world champions in Silverstone?
