New owner
I traded a breeding trio of zebra skinks and 11 babies to a Reptile shop for a blue tongue skink. He is about 7 months old. He is hissing and snapping. I got him about 6 days ago. He ate some live insects and a piece of chicken that day then burrowed into substrate and stayed under. I went to refill his water bowl and he was under it. I decided to feed him using tongs he snapped at the tongs once he realized it was food he chilled out and ate. He almost emptied his dish and stayed out for a while then back under.
Is this normal. I heard young males can be hissy at that age. Any advice on taming?
