sorry this is long.
We’ve had Millie 5 months. She was a rescue that was 4 years old when we adopted her. She is still settling in, continues to be uneasy around my husband and is a Velcro dog. I am home all the time, so that is what she’s used to. We have a dog door and a large fenced in back yard that she always has access to. We will be gone 4 days, 3 nights. Choice 1: we have a dog sitter stay to our house. Pros: she stays home. Cons: new person, new/different routine, home alone more. Choice 2: kennel (very fancy, will be in a room with a couch and in an office with a person during the day). Pro: new place allows for new routine, she loves other dogs and will join doggy daycare during the day. Cons: away from home and that will be stressful. I’m really struggling to decide what is best for Millie. What would you do?
