Hi, eagle nerds! 🦅 We are beginning a group readalong of "The Bald Eagle" (2022), by Jack E. Davis, on Sunday, 7/11.

Apart from the physical copy of the book, there is a Kindle option and an audiobook option available as well. 📻 I also highly recommend borrowing it from your local library. 🐛📚

Each of the book's sections will have its own discussion thread on Fable, a separate free app for book clubs. This thread will be reserved for submitting your interest, viewing reading schedules, and any general discussion.

This readalong would be perfect for any bookworms who feel bittersweet during the post-fledge period. The book is less about biology, and more about the history of bald eagle symbolism and conservation in the U.S. It is quite a hefty read (432 pages), but it did win the Pulitzer Prize, and has thus captivated readers. 👀✨

All are welcome to join at any point!

Reading schedule: located further in the thread

I think we can finish the book in 2-3 months, but if we need to stretch our time further, we can.

Looking forward to this! ⭐️

Just curious: How old is everyone? Where are you from?

I'm sure we have fans of all ages here, but I was just wondering.

I'm 35 and from Southern California. I live about two hours away from Big Bear.
