My friend compared Wit to another character in literature and yeah, I see it.
I've read the whole series, but my friend just finished TWOK and she described Wit as a cynical Tom Bombadil.
Which, wow, really astute having only read this book. Trying to restrain myself in telling her just how close she actually is 🤣

FINALLY managed to finish the Grand Finale! (ToM)
It took bloody ages!
The hangup, of course, was finishing all the illusions without draining the ball hitting the trunk!
Figured out I could get it somewhat safely with either a really high shot from the left flipper or a very late shot from the right flipper off the post below the left orbit.
Also got lucky with a surprise Midnight Madness from the Basement in ball 1. Managed to complete the Finale in ball 2, then drained the last few almost immediately 😅
