i’m curious if it’s worth it to buy an older head unit and pair it with a bluetooth adapter such as the AudioControl ACX-BT1 vs just buying a newer unit with built-in bluetooth.
i’m about begin my journey investing in a higher-end speaker system for my car for the first time, so i’m very new to all of this. my goal right now is to maximize how clear the music is, as opposed to loudness, but newer bluetooth head units are lowkey ugly and there are some older ones that don’t have built in bluetooth that fit my car’s aesthetic i prefer. i just want to know y’all’s opinion on if the audio quality and convenience lost with retrofitting an old stereo is worth it or if i should suck it up and go with a newer system.

for reference, im going to buy Alpine R2-S69C for the front and Alpine S2-S69 in the rear and im relying on the stereo for power since im not buying an amp yet.

also let me know if that build even makes sense, i lowkey used chatgpt for it
