hi folks! the vast majority of fast chargers in my area (southern Quebec) use CCS connectors. how are folks with the ever more prevalent NACS port in their cars deal with the need for adapters?

“Just order from A2Z” is a common reply but my boggle is that manufacturers will scare you with “if you don’t use an approved-by-us adapter and theres an issue your warranty will be void” - and approved adapters at dealerships are like 2X what an A2Z costs. so i‘d certainly prefer to go A2Z but am concerned about the warranty scare tactic (I guess it worked on me!)

hi folks! can anyone recommend some resources on how to care for and maintain the EV’s battery for durability and reliability? things like avoiding fast charging unless necessary (ok for road trips but use L2 for every day charging), keeping it in the 20-80% band, not letting it sit for months without use, what to watch out for in winter (southern Quebec if it matters) that kind of thing.

it looks like July is a good month to buy a car since discounts abound for EVs (I’m eyeing a Toyota Bz and those have a $5k discount from Toyota, but I checked other brands and they have similar offerings/discounts).

one thing that strikes me is that most of those are valid only during July. Are similar or better offers likely to be available in August or later? Asking because I can’t purchase before August so I won’t be able to take advantage of current offers.
