I do have my IBMS accredited degree btw but I am just trying to find any job I can in the NHS. Is healthcare assistant a good entry point?

I want to align my CV and personal statement more closely with the MLA position specifically in terms of lab work but a lot of the times it just mentions that lab work consists of specimen handling and preperation.

Specifically though, what kind of lab work do MLAs typically do? What are the specific sort of tests or techniques carried out?

The person specification for these roles almost always have the mention of the usual GCSEs (English and Maths at Grade 5 atleast) and I do add in all of my GCSEs when it comes to the job application but the personal statement I don't and instead I write extensively about my Biomed degree and my professional experience. Is it a good idea to add in my GCSEs?

I am not talking about employment opportunities but just something to give me that extra edge in experience since I am looking to break into this industry. Any help or advice is appreciated. I am based in Birmingham in case that is relevant.
