I had someone in the row in front of me, filling a “point by point” list entitled “every criticism of the movie” during the entire screening….. Why even bothering watching it then? (read text)

I enjoyed the movie in its entirety because I was looking forward to “a great Nolan movie” and was not looking for a faithful recreation (for that purpose I already watched the Italian 1968 miniseries which is still the most faithful take on the poem; and as a Nolan fan, I already knew that he would portray “his vision” of the Odyssey, he is notorious for not adapting faithfully what is given to him. Oppenheimer proved that already)

During the ENTIRE screening, from the beginning to the end, this idiot watched every frame of the movie while filling this NOTES page on his phone titled “my criticisms of the movie” and even wrote it point by point, AND LET’S BE CLEAR: HE WASN’T a movie critic nor a journalist.

If you gotta stay with your phone ON for the entire movie, searching for every tiny bit of the movie that you dislike, why even bothering coming to watch it? What a keyboard warrior of a dumpster of a piece of crap ….

Funny thing is, you paid for the ticket, so despite you TRYING SO HARD to find everything wrong with the movie, you still gave your short amount of money to Nolan & Co…..

This mofo made me do the biggest facepalm of my entire life…. As a movie enthusiast, I was not expecting to see someone coming to watch a movie and do THIS …. SMFH

Had Layne beating his addiction, how do you think AiC history would have gone? (read text)

I know that this question has already been made years ago, but I wanted to ask it again myself with a more specific “what if” scenario:

Let’s say that after their last show in 1996 Kemper Arena and after Demri’s passing, he never buys the Seattle condo and remains more active in public and remain close with his other bandmates, never isolating himself that deep with his demons.

How do you see Alice In Chains story going with this alternative scenario?

- Does Layne eventually have a successful rehab maybe along with Jerry who also struggled with substance abuse back then?

- Do AiC remain in hiatus after 1996, despite Layne never passing away? Do you see them doing occasional reunion tours for albums anniversaries or still making new music after a while ?

- Do you think Layne would have retained a Facelift/Dirt Era range if he got completely clean before 2002? Maybe if teeth loss was still an issue for the past substance abuse, he sure had enough net worth to get dentures and medical treatment for the consequences that might have surfaced with his addiction.

- I wonder if he would still retain his amazing vocal range despite aging (similiar to Paul McCartney) or if he’d have to “pull a James Hetfield” and lower the songs tune a bit to avoid damaging his vocal chords in extended tours.

- Is it possibile that thanks to Jerry connections with William Duvall through his solo career, he still joins AiC as a backup tour-only musician?

- Have Layne still living to this day, I could definitely see him embracing/loving the new technology in music and doing retrogaming livestreams on YouTube or Twitch when he is not on tour. I also wonder if he’d love the evolution of gaming franchises that he liked, maybe he’d be the bridge for many collaborations with videogames studio (imagine originals AiC in the new Doom games alongside Mick Gordon; funny how AiC also served as an inspiration for Bobby Prince OSTs back in the early Doom days)

- And I definitely see him participating in many more projects outside of AiC, featuring in other bands song as a guest (maybe doing an appearance in Audioslave albums or other grunge supergroups works)

- I also wonder how his relationship with his parents would have been now; would he remain close with them? How about his father? One thing for sure is that they wouldn’t have benefitted from his success postmortem the way they are in real life.

Express your unpopular opinions on the games

Yakuza 6 has one of the best plots of the saga and I can’t see it otherwise

What if Nishiki was the one spending 10 years in the joint? What would Kiryu say to him in the face-off?

How do you think they’re gonna handle the Serious Crime Drama Plot opposed to the Whacky meme content in Stranger Than Heaven? (READ TEXT)

It ain’t a RGG Game without some silly whacky substory or minigame, but honestly, since I always LOVED the thriller crime drama soul of the franchise main plots, I hope that they focused more on that rather than the silly side of the games.

So far from what they’ve shown, the story seems among the most serious they’ve ever done, even taking place in 5 different years, and I couldn’t be happier, but I still wonder what minigames they’ll have because it would be weird if there’s none of them …

I hope that AT LEAST ONE is focused on music (maybe Daito is a Jazz enthusiast and him coming from America, will contribute to make it more relevant in Japan?) since it looks like it’ll be a core element in the plot.

Share your thoughts everyone, I’d like to hear them

Robert Forster in Quentin Tarantino’s “Jackie Brown” (1997) rocking a Kiryu Fit:

I was rewatching Jackie Brown yesterday after a while and noticed Forster wearing a gray jacket with a red shirt like our beloved John Yakuza

While everyone is hyped about ADO involvement, is there anyone like me curious about Moeka Hoshi (Usami Fuji in Shogun)?

Any other Shogun fan here?
I believe that she’ll be Makoto main/canon love interest ?
I hope she won’t be sidelined or limited to a small role like many other love interests of past RGG characters, because of dating minigames, and that she’ll play a central part in the game’s story, maybe helping the protagonist getting used to life in Japan?

MAJIMAPOST TEXT:

>!Also, she seemed undressed in that trailer frame, is Makoto finally THE protagonist that we see getting laid on-screen? If so, he’ll finally break the Ichi and Kiryu curse of not clapping on screen!<
